10.01.2022 This is the cover of the Sunshine Harvester Works "in house" magazine printed in May 1953. The caption for the photo reads Sunshine implements are usually despatched by land and sea transport- now the marvel of air travel takes a hand . This scene at Essendon airport Victoria shows a Sundrill being loaded into an A.N.A. air-freighter for urgent despatch to Tasmania.

07.01.2022 Successful Henty Invention The Taylor Reaper Header A World Beater Headlines from the "Henty Observer" Friday 9 February 1917, reporting on the demonstration held the previous Friday at the Morison Brother's farm 'The Knoll" Henty NSW. This treasured photograph from the Morison family collection, captures the scene as two "Taylor Headers" each drawn by six horses, were put into a down crop of Currawa wheat, and their operations were keenly watched.... With crop lifters fitted, the two "Taylor Headers" went through the crop in fine style, the sample of wheat being clean and good. An assembly of about 300 persons plus dealers, agents and machinery men from various parts, viewed the work and were updated with the results of other successful demonstrations at Grenfell, Wyalong and Inglewood in Victoria. Here was the answer to previously lost crops. New harvest technology was badly needed to save down, tangled and weed infested crops. Material shortages had restricted the building of new machines, when every grain was needed to feed an Empire. The Gallipoli campaign was over and the Western Front was approaching its deadliest period. As farmers in Australia were desperate to increase their production, amongst ongoing concerns for sons and brothers, serving in a far away war. See more
