25.01.2022 There is an old saying "if it aint broke dont fix it". But does this apply to old or faulty wiring which could be a time bomb, an accident just waiting to happen. Having been in the position where my house was destroyed by fire, Im fully aware of the difficulties you face with an Insurance Claim, they are happy to take your money. It is a good idea to check your coverage. Before you buy that beautiful old Federation home, get an Electrical report, everyone gets a pest and building, which does not cover electrical. For the sake of around $110.00 you could save thousands of dollars, not only that if it is found the house needs a total rewire (cost between $6000 to $12,000) you can go back to the seller and renegotiate the purchase price. Stay safe.

21.01.2022 2014 was a busy and exciting time for us, we opened our new shop to provide an additional service to our local community, by being able to supply quality lighting products, fans etc. at a cheaper price than Tamworth and any online store. Due to the increase in requests for work at Barraba, in 2015 we will be expanding our electrical business to service the Barraba district on a regular weekly or fortnightly basis. These have a strobe light and/or a vibrating pad that can be placed under the pillow which activates when the smoke alarms is activated. 16.01.2022 Spring is only 3 weeks away and Fathers Day is soon approaching why not give dad something he really wants. Maybe a ceiling fan for his man cave, or a spot light for the bar-b-que area. We sell the Mercator brand fans for less than you can buy at the Good Guys or Bunnings. The difference between us and them is that your warranty doesnt stop with just the purchase of the fan when you leave our shop. Whereas when other electricians install a fan that you may have purchased from a huge retail shop, their responsibility ends after install. Yes your fan is covered under warranty, but if that fan is found to be faulty you will have to pay for and electrician to come back, uninstall then pay for the re-install of a new fan, not to mention your time and effort with locating receipts and returning the goods to the placed purchased.

In the age of online shopping, we are all looking for the bargain, at the risk of your life or your family, for the sake of a couple of dollars, really is it worth it, I think not. Insurance companies are getting smarter, that cheap shit you bought from Amazon isnt going to wear. We wont and dont touch some of that s.... From Bunnings that we have seen melted on the wall. When it comes to family safety, A bargain is not always a bargain.

09.01.2022 I cant believe where the time has gone since I last posted. This time last year we had a gentleman call in who bought a desk light, not overly exciting, but he came back today. What made this day special, is that he convinced his wife that Manilla was only a small detour from their home town of Goulburn to their destination of Coffs Harbour, because he wanted to come and buy from us. Either he has no sense of direction or we are a unique little business. To top it off I wa...snt sure of the price on another desk lamp he wanted, because we keep our prices under anything you can buy retail or online, and i said i would give it to him for $70.00 and he said "no, I will give you $85.00. 07.01.2022 I considered myself a bit of a hoarder, but I prefer the title of interior recycled designer, when it comes to changing a room that has become a little tired, we think of the cost, but sometimes just taking what you have already moving them to another area, gives them a whole new life, even on a small budget you can make big changes.

05.01.2022 How many of us are in a dilemma as to what should we buy our mums when birthdays, Christmas and especially mothers day are drawing near, she has everything is often our thoughts, it will end up in a draw unused or even re-gifted. Why not give mum the gift of inspiration, with our beautiful and affordable lamps can be the beginning of transforming a room that over the years has become a little stale or outdated. Yesterday I received these beautiful Mercator Table Lamps for a customer who had those exact same thoughts in mind. Only problem, I wanted to keep them for myself. 05.01.2022 Today I realised I procrastinate, when really I have no excuse, after all we are a lighting store. We supply beautiful lights and lamps at a fraction of the price that you can buy anywhere in Australia or online. Im going to take my own advice, im going to revamp my bedroom, a new doa cover, a few new cushions, finished with a couple of new bedside lamps. At our prices you can afford a change whenever you feel a little inspired.

03.01.2022 Congratulations to our apprentice Tyhe Withers on being a recipient of the Bert Evans Apprenticeship Scholarship, he has demostrated a high aptitude for vocational education and training and a positive attitude in both the workplace and off the job training. Only 50 scholarships are given out State wide, definitely something to be proud of.

Are we sold on the name, or who is promoting it, as with the Josh and Jennas range from the block, or do we think its too cheap to be good.
