Other symptoms include:... - Redness - Watery discharge - Sensitivity to light - Swollen eyelid By using an anti-histamine eye drop, it can help you get relief FAST. There are some anti-histamine eye drops that can only be used for a maximum of 4 days. They are those that contain a decongestant for red eyes. Antihistamine drops such as Zaditen can be used for longer and while you have symptoms. What else can you do to relieve your symptoms? - Avoid the allergen - Wash your eyes with COLD water if you suspect that the allergen is in your eyes - COLD compress - If you experience nasal symptoms such as a runny nose, an anti-histamine tablets and nasal corticosteroid sprays can give you relief. Oh! One more thing. If you wear contact lenses, remove them until symptoms have resolved.
