23.01.2022 A photo of a mural project titled ‘The Worlds Biggest Comic’ that I was happy to have contributed to recently. Quite thrilled to see my work at scale.. reprod...uced on the side of this hospital building in Whyalla, South Australia. It is a simulated page of an ongoing comic story placed on buildings throughout the city and the story is centred around mental health and suicide prevention. Anyway, thought I would post something less painterly but just as meaningful. Good causes for good people. See more

22.01.2022 After a four month pause we are proud to announce that all systems are go for our Learning from Lived Experience (LfLE) Suicide Prevention Project. Production s...tarts August 7th! We are looking for people with lived/living experience of crisis and distress that includes experiencing suicidal thoughts or living with a suicidal 'part', surviving a suicide attempt/s or surviving the suicide of a loved one to be filmed sharing parts of their story. Video content will take a similar format to ABC's 'You Can't Ask That' with participants answering targeted questions around their experience. Complete your Expression of Interest, or share with people who this may be relevant to, via www.surveymonkey.com/r/QQXRQG5 . After the excitement of organ and electone ended she switched to classical piano, and now teaches modern and classical syllabus , as well as singing lessons, ukulele and mini music group sessions to preschoolers. With a background in literacy development and disability support and experience working for the department of Education she specialises in teaching students with special needs. Many of her previous students have gone on to have successful careers as performing musos and several have gone on to be music teachers in various colleges around the country, and she is now teaching the children of children she has taught. Leah also enjoys singing with various bands on the EP , regularly appearing at charity events. Having enjoyed a 2 year stint in NZ she is now back in Lincoln taking on students. "maximising potential ' is her philosophy.

16.01.2022 I have recently connected with LELAN who are the SA Lived Experience Leadership and Advocacy Network and the purpose of LELAN is to amplify the voice, influence and leadership of lived experience to drive change. I have been a small part of a diverse group who have been working on a co creation project developing resources for people with lived experience of mental illness living in the community and also beginning to create a state wide peer support network and also some sma...ller community networks.
