23.01.2022 Congratulations. Awesome recognition for a job well done
20.01.2022 #BEACHSAFETY // The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting extreme heat conditions over the next few days and with school holidays underway, a big spike in beach v...isitations is expected. We are urging beachgoers to please swim at a patrolled location and between the red yellow flags. Leading into Christmas and the New Year, we have a very simple message. Enjoy the water but do so safely by swimming at a patrolled location, wear a lifejacket if boating or rockfishing and always supervise children around water," said SLSNSW Director of Lifesaving, Joel Wiseman. Remember to stop, look and plan before you enter the water. To find your nearest patrolled location please visit the Beachsafe website or download the App. #dontrisktherip
20.01.2022 A message to all of our Far South Coast lifesavers and visiting lifesavers who have assisted our communities in these trying and fire ravaged times. I am so proud yet again of those who have worked tirelessly to assist in and around the evacuation centres up and down the Far South Coast, with emergency callouts and now with recovery centres. These amazing lifesavers, include those behind the scenes who have played such an essential role in helping to make the magic happen. O...ur Duty Officer team has been exceptional with planning and preparedness and we've also received fantastic support from the SLSNSW team who have sent staff down to assist us. A big shout out to the George Bass Marathon boaties who jumped in to lend a massive hand at evacuation centres as well. I reckon we ALL know that we still have a long way to go with this. The hot and dry conditions expected in the coming weeks and mon ths will require us to be on the front foot and ready for anything that is thrown at us. I thank you in advance for your continued assistance and hope and pray for more of the much needed heavy rain. Bloody champions! Tony Rettke President FSC
