25.01.2022 I had a great afternoon on Saturday Driving Shane and Louise around Town for their wedding. Penny Millar did a great job as Celebrant. Ceremony at 1770, Picnic on the Beach at Agnes and more photos at The Paper Bark. Can't wait to see Stuart McKay's photos. I hope both of you had a great day.

24.01.2022 After the tragedy at our local beach last week, we would like to express our heart felt condolences, and share the below tribute: For those that truly are committed to this life of the sun, sea, surf and wave, there cannot be words to express how we, as onlookers, admire the courage, honesty, support & companionship that is offered within the community of the surfing world. We are privileged in Agnes Water to see so many of our young people be supported & mentored by men an...d women who live life with a generosity of spirit and zest for life that is indeed something to celebrate and admire. 20.01.2022 In 1969 Cooks Journal was on show at the National Library in Canberra as a prelude to the Cook Bi-Centenary. My Father drove from Toowoomba to Canberra to take some photos of the relevant pages of the Journal when Cook landed at Round Hill Head. He then developed and printed them. This is a scan of the photo of the page Cook wrote 250 years ago.

16.01.2022 It is always wonderful to hear about our experience, this is one of our trip advisor reviews. Reviewed by leamccarthy 6 Aug 2020 You have to do this!... We’re on a budget travelling for four months in a van, so when my husband saw this tour and asked should we? I thought about $220 per person and wasn’t sure. Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and snorkelling on a reef 50kms out at sea seemed fair. Now I’ve been, and it’s worth DOUBLE that as a life experience. The colour of the water, the sky and sea life will stay with me forever. The very friendly crew were safety conscious, fun and funny and very attentive. We snorkelled with turtles and the most beautiful fish in calm and safe waters. Whales, dolphins and manta rays were seen on the way home - along with the most beautiful sunset. As for the snorkelling, some used a pool noodle for added support and the vibe onboard was cruisy, happy and fun. All gear was thoroughly sanitised but we brought our own gear and our wetsuits were a great idea. You can hire a wetsuit for $10 if you don’t have one. The crew shared stories and information of the area. We could have gone on the glass bottomed boat and walked with the others on the island but we decided to just keep snorkelling. The food was served in boxes per family booking. Scones and cake for morning tea, ham and salad rolls with fresh fruit for lunch and cheese, olives and bickies for the trip home. Hot tea and coffee, serve yourself all day. Delicious! We brought extra food but didn’t need it. I could go on but I won’t. Just do it. Seriously. 10.01.2022 My parents were at 1770 for the 200th anniversary of Cooks landing at Round Hill Head and took lots of photos, but unfortunately I can only find 3 of them. It was a big weekend, and apparently the GG had to fill in for the Queen as the road wasn't good enough for to travel on.
