04.01.2022 We all struggle from time to time, but we compare what we are feeling about ourselves, our lives, our achievements and our fears to what we think others are experiencing. The trouble with that is, we are comparing our messy, confused, doubting inner world with the glossy brochure someone else is putting out about their lives. What does your glossy brochure look like? Does it differ slightly from the internal dialogue you have about your life? Does anyone get to see your craz...y, or just the refined version, suitable for public viewing? Always remember, you are not alone. This human experience is a shared one and it is wonderful and messy and exciting and scary and every glossy life you see out there is sharing some of the same struggles as you.

03.01.2022 Love is a powerful emotion, it can feel wonderful and it can also bring up all our fears. So what does it really mean to love someone?

01.01.2022 One of the challenges and benefits of being in the information era, is the different views we have access to and are confronted with, on a daily basis. I see so much love, kindness, compassion and a real effort toward equality and peace and on the flip side, can be confronted with people, including some of those on the political stage, showing more fear and hatred, racism and misogyny than I can recall being openly shared in the past. From a personal standpoint, I reject fe...ar and hatred as a way of living and I believe in the power of love, and love alone, to heal the wounds we are inflicting on each other. I came across the article attached and was instantly challenged in my thinking about racism. I encourage you to read this excellent article, which looks scientifically at how our brains are wired, it addresses the unconscious bias, that even those of us who reject racism, naturally have, it talks about why we are "biased" in our views and addresses how we can change our own bias, most importantly, it posses some of the honest and difficult questions we as a society must start asking if we are to truly live in peace and love. If you are less interested in the detailed and scientific workings of the brain, go to the end of the article where you will find more of the information on bias.
