25.01.2022 For the second time this year the Regiment has been deployed in support of the community. They are assisting Queensland Police in border checkpoints to help limit the spread of Covid-19. Best of luck to all those who are conducting this important task.

15.01.2022 RSM 1 Regt, RAA WO1 Matthew Dawson pays a visit to LBDR Hillcoat and PTE Jeffries who are working at a Police checkpoint at Barringun, QLD.

13.01.2022 Congratulations to Warrant Officer Mathew Dawson who has been promoted to Warrant Officer Class One. The promotion was given by the Brigade Commander and he has been put straight into the thick of it as the acting Regimental Sergeant Major for the Regiment, good luck in the challenges of your new role and well done!



10.01.2022 Members from the Regiment- including PTE Jerome Mvoyi- have been doing their part on the Gold Coast M1; working with QLD Police to aid in the enforcement of State border policy in order to help Queenslanders remain safe from the threat of COVID-19.

10.01.2022 Some great footage from Exercise Barce II, which was the first opportunity for the Regiment to conduct live fire this year. The exercise occurred last month whilst adhering to Covid-19 restrictions. The Regiment was able to practice skills critical to our trade and maintain our ability to provide joint fires and effects to 7 Combat Brigade. Great work to all!

05.01.2022 Deployed members from 1 Regt, RAA were called upon to support the community of Mungindi after a devastating fire destroyed a large part of the community. The soldiers assisted QLD Police and Ambulance services in the distribution of food and supplies to those in need.

03.01.2022 We cant wait to see what the Australian Army Drone Racing Team has been up to! They have been filming with the Australian Army - School of Artillery in Puckapunyl, Victoria.

01.01.2022 Soldiers from 1 Regt, RAA participated in a community-organized color run in the town of St George over the weekend. These members are deployed to the area as part of ADF support to QLD Police border checkpoints.



01.01.2022 Earlier this week, Soldiers from 1 Regt, RAA and 7th Combat Signal Regiment commemorated Vietnam Veterans’ Day on 18 Aug, the anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan. They participated in a ceremony with the Killarney RSL and laid a wreath with Veterans from the region.
