23.01.2022 Congratulations to our two Venturer teams that participated in the Armstrong 500 Hike on 6-8 Sept in Labertouche. They collectively took first place and fifth place. A fantastic effort. Well done to all of you.

23.01.2022 Come along to Coles (Victoria Street, Bakery Hill) this Sunday 5th May and pick up a sausage and drink while youre shopping. 1st Mount Clear Scout Group are running the Sausage sizzle and raising funds to purchase new camping equipment. 10am to 2pm.

21.01.2022 Its the cubs first night back for the year and they celebrate with awarding of the Grey Wolf Award to Madeline Pryor. Congratulations Maddy!!! Well done on your achievement and have a great time in Scouts.

20.01.2022 Scouts and Cubs - this is a reminder of the importance of looking after your badge book. Fortunately a good citizen found it and reunited it with its scout. Please be a good owner and take better care of yours!

20.01.2022 It started a little foggy on top on Mt Buninyong this morning, but the day was awesome for a JOTT hike. We ended up walking 11kms - down the mountain, through the botanical gardens for lunch, down Geelong Rd to the Mt Helen shops. Stay tuned for the next installment of the Great Dividing Trail hike.

19.01.2022 This week we congratulate Liam Parkinson on becoming a Queens Scout. This award is the most recognised within the scouting movement and the highest within the Venturer section. It requires 3 years of dedication while tackling VCE, and requires support from the unit and District councils to approve paperwork for activities. Presentations from his fellow unit members, all his leaders, Group Leader dad, DC Roger, State Venturers and local Rover Crew. Well done Liam on this huge achievement. We are all very proud!!!

19.01.2022 An awesome weekend with the Joeys at Kangaree. We all had a great time with lots of fun activities. The first day was so hot, then today the wind and rain nearly blew us off the map but we survived and finished with smiles all round.

18.01.2022 Head down to Bunings tomorrow (Sunday) and buy a snag (or two). The 1st Mount Clear Scouts will be there in front of the BBQs to raise funds for their 2019 Jamborree.

09.01.2022 Congratulations to Matthew Flind on achieving the highest award in the scout section - the Australian Scout Medallion. Last Friday he received his green cord which is the last step. The medallion will be presented at a state ceremony in Melbourne soon. Well done Matt!!

03.01.2022 Its Founders Day today at Lake Wendouree. Scouts are involved in a raft race...come prepared to get wet. Scouts will need their scarf. Cubs in full uniform. Scouts meeting at 9.30am. Cubs at 10am.... Location: Durham Point, Lake Wendouree. District are selling sausages ($2.50) and drinks ($1.50). See you there.
