22.01.2022 RETURN TO TRAINING PROTOCOL Please read and take note of our COVID-19 Return to Training Conditions formulated by our COVID Officer Brad Bowler. In keeping with recommendations from Cricket Victoria, these are in place to ensure a safe return to cricket for our club. Training is set to resume soon. If you haven't already - please contact Henry Tyler or Michael Hannan for senior training arrangements, or Tim Braddy and your respective age group coach for junior training arran...gements. Let's ensure we take this seriously and enjoy the privilege that is being back at our club.

21.01.2022 BEAR CUBS UPDATE Hi everyone, I really hope your children have enjoyed their first game of cricket this season. The junior committee are extremely happy and proud that we have got to this point after the year we have had. I want to thank the Junior Committee of James McIntyre, Brent O'Connor, Steve Pinner, Cameron Heaney and Darren Mills and the support of the greater Banyule Cricket Club committee, led by president Graham Clapton and secretary Phillip Barnes and Brad Bow...ler and Rod Ebbage as COVID officers, in getting us to this point. Countless hours have gone into the season so far, which seems strange as on the surface we have only played one game. Our achievements as a club so far: 170 registered players across 18 teams Nearly 60 new players 50+ registered participants in Woolworths Blast programs Many returning and many new coaches, all supported by team managers Every official has supplied Working With Children Checks and have completed online Child Protection modules A Child Safety Officer appointed and policy written and visible on the BCC website A COVID safe club, that strictly abides by state government, Cricket Victoria and DVCA COVID regulations ...and soon to have all players in newly supplied playing shirts and new players supplied with a new cap - stay tuned this coming week! We hope to add to this list the achievements of many of the players throughout the season in reaching personal milestones with their cricket, getting a fair go, and most importantly enjoying themselves! 18.01.2022 Huge congratulations to Darcy Mills who has earned cap number 217 and will make his First XI debut tomorrow. Darcy is a product of our strong junior system and has put in a fantastic pre season while juggling his Marcellin College First XI commitments. Some impressive performances to note from Saturday included Joel Crook 75*, Lucas Willoughby 76* and young Jax McIntyre who cleaned up with the ball taking 4/13.
