25.01.2022 Our 60th Annual Report And Presentation Night (AGM) was a lovely and cosy night conducted virtually. Thank you to all the youth members, leaders and families for joining 1st Templestowe Scouts' first ever AGM online. Congratulations to Sienna on her Grey Wolf Award. Sienna was also presented with her Grey Wolf plaque, certificate and badge which Bagheera had organised to be delivered to Marlon earlier so he could present it her.

24.01.2022 A big thank you to everyone who turned out to help at the Eltham Bunnings sausage sizzle. It was a busy day inspite of the afternoon down pour and it raised some much needed funds towards camping equipment.

18.01.2022 A message from Mignon Hogan our Group Leader, to all the families at 1st Templestowe: "We all understand that these are difficult times with the COVID-19 pandemic gripping our country and the world at the moment. But, it will come to an end, one day. We just don’t know when. Face to face scouting sessions, events and activities have been cancelled or re-scheduled, but not scouting itself. Scouting for our youth will continue via the variety of I.T. platforms open to us. ...Scouts Victoria is developing a Scouting@home program and our own leaders will also be developing ways to give our youth members the scouting they need. We will be contacting you again very soon in this regard. Cubs and Scouts, please remember your Law and Promise, be obedient to Mum and Dad, Do Your Best in whatever you are doing. Be respectful and kind to each other (even if you don’t especially like your brother or sister) and if you can, do some gardening, cooking, make a mask, practice your piano lessens even harder and longer, maybe set up a tent in your own back yard or build a cubby house in the lounge with sheets and blankets (if Mum and Dad will let you). For Cubs, look up page 153 of your Yellow Book -The Language Emblem Badge, I am sure most of you could easily do this Badge. Scouts, there are heaps of badges you too can do at home over the holidays. Parents, please check out the Scouts Victoria website www.scoutsvictoria.com.au for all sorts of information on Scouting as well as updates on the COVID-19". SCOUTING IS ALIVE AND WELL. We will all step up to meet the challenges that we face.

18.01.2022 I am really happy to advised that our group will receive $500.00 as part of the Victorian Government’s Survival Package for Clubs. It is aimed at supporting groups like ours to ride out the economic impacts of corona virus pandemic and help us reboot and recover. At this time when we have had a freeze in fees this money is going to come in handy.

17.01.2022 Scouting does not end because we are staying home.

13.01.2022 What Scouts around the world are doing during this time to help others.

09.01.2022 Happy World Scout Day! Today, Scouts from all corners of the globe are celebrating the 113th anniversary of the first Scout camp at Brownsea Island. On this day in 1907, Baden-Powell’s experimental camp brought together a small group of 20 young people from different walks of life. From such humble beginnings, Scouting is now a movement with more than 50 million members. We celebrate being part of a diverse and inclusive organisation that contributes positive outcomes for our members to our community.

08.01.2022 We are back to face to face sessions at 1st Templestowe Scouts and Cubs and we had 5 Scouts invested. Congratulations to Piper, Hannah, Joselp, Charlie and Omar on your investiture. In the coming weeks, months and years to come, your scouting journey will be filled with fun, difficulties, friendship and memories that you will never forget. Here are some photos of the night, before the investiture ceremony, to keep as a reminder. The Scouts lit a camp fire and performed some skits and sung some songs.
