14.01.2022 Dear Members, As a result of the new restrictions announced by the Prime Minister regarding social distancing, all gyms are required to close tomorrow at Midday (23rd of March). While this is incredibly disappointing news, we respect the government’s decision in this difficult time. All our weekly memberships will be put on hold, with fees ceasing for the time that these government restrictions are in place. ... Our Annual and other Prepaid memberships will be extended accordingly. Regular exercise is one of the best things for healthy body and mind. So our team will be working hard to make digital content available for all our members to help you keep up a fitness regime from home. Please stay tuned to our social media channels for updates. We exist for our members and for our staff, and you can rest assured that we will be doing everything we can to ensure that all our people are cared for and looked after to the best of our ability. As a South Australian, family owned business, the outpouring of support and understanding that we have already received has been incredibly heart-warming. So, Thank you! We look forward to welcoming you all back in as soon as we can. Kind regards, 24fit Team

03.01.2022 So right now you may be currently browsing through those social media posts. Rotating between Instagram, facebook, pinterest - -... How much of your feed is feeding you? - - From trying out a new workout you spotted on an Instagram story to trying out a bomb new recipe that you found on a Facebook group. We have all probably made health decisions based on our social media feed to some degree. On average, Australians are spending over two hours a day on different forms of social media. Therefore, subsequently it is natural that our friends we follow, influencers we heart react and emails we subscribe to affect our real-world decisions around our well-being. How are your social media platforms affecting your daily experiences and adventures? Is this in a positive or negative way? Yes, social media can provide health inspiration and advice but at the same time it can contain unrealistic expectations of health. When it comes to our well-being decisions, we all want to be in control. During these times where we may have a bit more time on our hands than usual. This may be a good opportunity to have a ‘social media cleanse’. What is this and how will it help? - - Open your Instagram; hop onto your profile and check out who you follow and for every account ask yourself these questions - How does this account make me feel? - Is this account relevant to my personal beliefs, feelings and current goals? - Is this account just trying to sell or promote their products or does it legitimately have value and information that benefits me? - Are those workouts doable with my current fitness goals and abilities or does it put me down when you try them out? - Are those recipes surrounding my current needs, wants and goals? Ultimately; is this account giving you false information, making you feel down about yourself and not benefiting you at all? Then press that unfollow button! Continue this for any other social media platform you may have. - - Let us know how you go! Today I began this on my Instagram and I was following over 1,500 followers! Wow!! It took some time but was well worth it and am currently following 790 accounts. Tomorrow my goal is to finish my Instagram cleanse and cut that number down furthermore. Because why do I need to follow an account that is not worth it? Get the most out of your social media. - - #socialmediacleanse #followforyou #positiveimpact #inspirationvsexpectation
