20.01.2022 Bought lots of new stock for Trend from three Trade Fairs in the last week. Stock ordered is starting to trickle in already, and it’s so exciting to see new things. We loved these round coffee tables . an aged bronze look base, with a black marble top. One of the current trends in the US and Europe is to have two smaller tables side by side, instead of a large rectangle or oval. With this in mind, I've ordered two of these fab black marble tables. They should be in by mid March.

19.01.2022 We love these small French coin purses. We’re told that the women in France have been using these for years. They go out each morning with their coin purse to buy baguettes for breakfast. Made of the softest leather, and in jewel- like colours, they make a unique gift. Be quick if you want one! We have limited stock, and won’t receive the next shipment until well into the new year.

12.01.2022 Amazing book collection? - no! ... just a fantastic wallpaper on one wall of our Library at home, (from an Andrew Martin wallpaper collection). It's available in other colourways. You can look at the sample book in our store and we can order the wallpaper in for you.

12.01.2022 Love serving antipasto on wooden boards. Current fave is this long mango wood board , 1m x 200mm. It fits well down the centre, even on a narrow table(this board sells for $79.00.) I mix and match with other wooden boards. Tips to clean and care for your board Rinse under running water with a slightly soapy cloth (don’t soak)... Dry, then wipe with white vinegar to disinfect. Sprinkle with salt and rub with a cut lemon to deodorize. Rinse, dry, then lightly oil with almond, walnut or melted coconut oil. See more

11.01.2022 We love the new ‘Wipe Your Paws’ doormats. More are expected in late this week, as we've sold the first shipment (and I bought one for home). It looks great at the back door, and was really useful in this week’s wet weather! They’re 770mm wide by 480mm deep, priced at $80.00. We think it’s a ‘must have’ item for every dog lover!

11.01.2022 'Pearls' from Spain - the perfect Mother's Day gift. Pictured are petite teardrop pearls, but we also stock larger teardrops, potato pearls, & classic round pearls. Prices start at $25 for pearl stud earrings to around $150 for a classic pearl necklace. (Clip on earrings start at $45.)

09.01.2022 Bring a splash of colour into your life. Flowers, bowls, vases and prints in sunny colours can transform a dull corner, and give a real lift to your décor. You could also try reds, oranges or yellows in battery operated candles. Fake flowers can look pretty amazing. Discovered the best way to keep them looking great, (which adds a few more years to their life), is to ‘blow’ them with your hairdryer every few weeks on the cold setting. It dislodges dust before it really sets on them.

06.01.2022 Come on weekend! Can’t wait for some outdoor entertaining. This stunning pot with succulents (a gift from the lovely staff at Trend), will be used to decorate the verandah table. Also, won’t forget the mosquito candles. This range of candles seems to be really effective. Customers who are loved by mozzies buy them regularly, & say they’re just the best! The teatree and lavender oils in them mask the strong citronella smell. We light ours each evening about 10 minutes before we eat on the verandah. Candles are available from Trend in 3 sizes, or as tea-lights.

06.01.2022 Well Christmas 2015 is over, so it’s goodbye to this year’s Christmas Moose. He’s probably the most photographed moose we’ve ever had, with lots of parents taking photos of their children posing with him. So we decided we wanted a Xmas family photo the moose with my two ‘boys’ Charlie and Snoopy. They were rather distracted by all the attention and pats from customers. Our Xmas Moose will be back to stand guard late next year (unless he’s sold). Trend is closed now until Wednesday 27th January, but you can still contact us on 02 9415 8100 just leave a message and we’ll get back to you, as we’re often in the shop working even though we’re closed.

04.01.2022 Countdown to Mother's Day at Trend!! 'Pearls' are a classic gift, as they coordinate with everything, & suit all ages. We have a large range of styles and colours, and even stock 'clip' earrings for those who don't have pierced ears.

03.01.2022 Preserved boxwood look amazing & add a touch of green to your home. We sold out last week, but will have delivery of a few new pieces this Wednesday. They should last for several years - it's important to lightly spray with water once a month. Mine have been neglected a bit.... holidays etc, but still look great after 2 years. (I've now set a reminder on my phone to spray).
