02.01.2022 On the 21st of January, 4 rovers once again set out to complete Empress and Juggler Canyons. We may have taken a scenic route in the canyon but not on our way to pie in the sky. -Lachlan

02.01.2022 On the 3rd 4th of March, 2nd Baulkham Hills Outdoor Rover Crew traveled to Yellomundee Regional Park in order to haul rubbish out from the bottom of Yellow rock lookout for Clean Up Australia Day. Overall we recovered 4 cubic meters of rubbish to the top of the cliff and collected another 4 cubic meters to be collected by the National Parks helicopter. There was no shortage of weird rubbish, unfortunately, the most time-consuming type of rubbish we found was the thick glas...s from the old CRT televisions that had been thrown off the cliff. We had washing machines, BBQs, stoves, bikes, a wheelchair, mower, vacuum cleaner, fridges and at least 4 old televisions. This event could not have been pulled off without the help of Paul the ranger from the Blue Mountains Branch National Parks by organizing the heli-bags, extra helpers, permits and even putting on a BBQ lunch. The rope knowledge and expertise provided by Michael (2nd Baulkham Hills Venturer Leader) and all others that gave up their time to help clean the place up. We are already talking about next year’s Clean Up Australia Day and how it can be made an even bigger challenge.
