02.01.2022 Margaret Chalmers stands next to her iconic rose bushes outside her unit at Geegeelup Village. Margaret was born in Bridgetown and lived here most of her life, marrying Eric Chalmers and running a hair salon in town. After Eric passed away, Margaret chose to downsize from her house to a unit at the retirement village. She says it was the sensible thing to do, allowing her to maintain her independence and getting the best out of herself in the space she's in. 01.01.2022 Short & Curly are a WAMAward nominated country/blues/folk act from Bridgetown. They really are a couple of talented musicians, and we loved hanging out with them for a few days while they prepared for a national tour which they’re about to embark on.
