24.01.2022 Space camp starts tomorrow! This is a virtual camp for our group. You loved Area 51 so try Space! Program Outline Saturday 2pm Opening Parade Saturday 7pm Campfire check in Sunday 7:30am Scouts Own and Closing Parade... Tasks to Complete Bake Moon Rocks (recipe attached). Design your space station. Build your space station. Set up your camp site (you can camp in a swag, tent, tarp, blanket tent, anything you like!). Check out the stars using an app. Skyview is a good one. Design an alien: think about what they look like, where they live, the kinds of food they eat, how they travel. You're only limited by your imagination! If you have one at home, watch a Space Movie! Scouts: don't forget your tasks for Scouts Own! Kurt (and Hayden) - music, Kye - reflection time, Dale - story, Lucas - inspirational reading. Other than being ready for Scouts Own at 7:30am on Sunday, all other tasks can be completed in any order you like! Links are in your emails

23.01.2022 The digital age.... some of our space stations from the Space Camp were designed in mine craft.

20.01.2022 Tonight the troop were showing off their space stations they designed. Some of them very cleverly designed them on Minecraft which was a bit harder to show! Never under estimate the creative minds of youth!

19.01.2022 Scout section: next week bring your research for fire and fuel, look on the nsw rural fire service website for our state laws! Bring it with you!

17.01.2022 What do you do when the music isn’t loud enough? Improvise!! Lessons taught by our awesome parent helpers

17.01.2022 Hang onto your hats as we transition to the new program for scouting! An exciting step for our group. One program, one journey.

15.01.2022 Tonight we had the pleasure of presenting Kurt Farrell with the Larrie Pittman Shield passes on from last years recipient. Larrie Pittman was a leader with the scouting association for 32 years and played an Important role in helping many youth members and leaders get the most out of scouting. This award is not based on badge work but attitudes. It is awarded to a member of our group who shows the same attitude and commitment to scouting principles as Larrie. Kirt helped lead our group through our COVID 19 challenges demonstrating leadership skills for others to follow so we could still enjoy scouting. Congratulations Kurt !! #BRAVO !

15.01.2022 Hi all, So far, we are looking good for our picnic and walk on Saturday. Current forecast is for a mostly sunny day with temperatures in the low 20s. Perfect weather for a walk! You will receive a new Operoo request, this time for a picnic at Cassilis Park rest area followed by The Drip walk. Please respond to this event, not the previous form. Unfortunately, after the last upgrade of facilities, there are no toilets at The Drip. This has necessitated relocating the picnic component of our activity to the Cassilis Park rest stop. This is located on the left side of The Golden Highway, about 3km past the turn off to Cassilis. There are multiple composting toilets on site, along with limited hand washing facilities. We will be providing hand sanitiser. It should be a great day!

14.01.2022 Just a reminder we will be online in My Teams for the remainder of the term starting at 6.30pm. This week we will be prepping for our day hike.... this will go towards badge work. Our My Teams sessions will have a structured badge work element for each section. See you there !!

10.01.2022 Construction at its finest. Learning how to strengthen our square lashing to build a bridge. Kye was the brave one who tested it out’ #crashtestdummy

08.01.2022 Our new sensory oasis was set up by the Cubs tonight. Scouting is designed for everybody! This is a great way for people who need some time to centre themselves can regroup and calm themselves when the environment around them gets to much. #sensoryoverload #nailedit

05.01.2022 Red light, Green light Ninja style!

04.01.2022 What a great day out! A little bit of fun, a little bit of adventure, family, friends and learning all at the same time. Who wouldn’t want to be in scouting? Thanks to our scouting families for a great day at a magic spot.
