25.01.2022 In the words of George Costanza... WE’RE BACK BABY! From June 1st, we’ll be open for dinner every night, as well as lunch Friday, Saturday and Sunday! Come and ...taste our new menu while you enjoy a well-deserved pint or two! . Some booking conditions apply so please call or email the team to find out exactly what we can and can’t do. At this stage, the pub won’t be open to walk-ins but we promise it’s not far away . Remember, as restrictions ease over the coming weeks, so will our booking conditions. We ask for patience and kindness as we work our way through this pretty weird time. . But most importantly, WE CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU! #savehospo #supportlocal #poh3058 #coburg #coburgpub #melbournepub

23.01.2022 IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Panic buying is hurting the most vulnerable people in Wills - people on low income, disabled people and the elderly. I understand people are ...worried about providing for their families, but I want to reassure everyone that there is no shortage of supplies - including toilet paper and food. They are only running short because the delivery trucks can’t keep up with people panic buying a months worth in a day! Practise calm, buy only what you need and think of those in the community that don't have the same access or resources as you do #COVID19

13.01.2022 Nat is hoping to find Sam. Here is short note from Nat. Today I was down at Coburg Lake Reserve with my son - he had a big fall off his bike at the bottom of th...e hill near the gym equipment area. I would love to thank Sam for being so kind and helping attend to my son - he was a complete mess and I don’t think I thanked her enough for her first aid kit, her attempts to calm down my son and simply just being so kind. The world needs more people like Sam - I am super thankful and would love to be in touch with her! See more

03.01.2022 As we prepare ourselves for lockdown, this project from the Melbourne History Workshop is a great way to not only document your own feelings/situation, but also... contribute to documenting periods of extreme social upheaval. When we went to take a look in our own archives for documents or ephemera relating to the Influenza Pandemic on 1918-19, we were shocked at how little material we had. Projects like this can help ensure future generations understand the impact of worldwide pandemics. "Join the Melbourne History Workshop in the School of Historical and Philosophical Studies, University of Melbourne in documenting these challenging times in Melbourne and around the globe. We are working with Mark Tebeau from Arizona State University and others by acting not just as historians, but as chroniclers, recorders, memoirists, as image collectors. We invite you to share your experience and impressions of how CoVid19 has affected our lives, from the mundane to the extraordinary, including the ways things haven't changed at all. Share your story in text, images, video, tweets, texts, Facebook posts, Instagram or Snapchat memes, and screenshots of the news and emails--anything that speaks to paradoxes of the moment. Imagine, as we are, what future historians might need to write about and understand this historical moment." https://covid19.omeka.net/mhw
