Enjoy your Founder’s Day doing something fun, and will leave you with the farewell message BP left for his Scouts ‘try and leave this world a little better than you found it’. ... Happy Founders Day and Happy Thinking Day all Scouting and Guide families world wide.

04.01.2022 It’s Ice Blocking time! Very excited for this time of year as Ice blocking is super fun for all. For those that are interested; ice blocks take around 5 days to make as it has a few steps involved. If you want to know more, see instructions below. ... Hints: Having a towel to sit on is recommended; not making your ice block to small (hard to balance on) or to big (they can be heavy to pull back up the hill). A bottle of water for hydration is handy as it can be a bit of a work out walking up a hill often. And as always safety first so we do recommend wear a bike helmet. Don’t forget to have lots of fun! (Maybe have a BBQ or ice creams as well to really enjoy your outing with the family). ***If you decided to go ice blocking please make sure you are allowed to use the area, and that you do so at your own risk and is one’s own responsibility. If you leave your block to melt, remember to take your rope home with you and leave the area the way it was or even better before you go.*** Ice Block Instructions: Fill a container half way (any size you are happy with) and freeze. Add rope as handles (front, side, front/back or whatever works for you) with a little bit of water and freeze. Thicker rope can be easier to hold but any rope will do and check that you have enough rope in the ice and for the handle/s as well. Then fill the rest of the container up and freeze again. Take out of container and find a hill and enjoy some fun ice blocking. In a few days you’ll be slaying down grass hills in no time.

04.01.2022 Have a look at this craft idea for ANZAC day. These are great to keep your candle alight if it’s windy and will look great in your driveway at DAWN on Saturday. What you’ll need: An Empty 2 litre milk bottles (or 3 litre if you have one).... ANZAC stencil of your choice (or design your own ANZAC picture). permanent marker or paint whatever works on plastic. Tea light (preferably a battery operated one for safety). Line your street with these beacons by placing them in your driveway on ANZAC Day at DAWN on Saturday morning.

03.01.2022 Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year. Let’s hope 2021 brings us new exciting, fun and safe adventures.
