25.01.2022 It's the final count down (cue outburst of song,) 48 hours to go

25.01.2022 It is so wonderful to see Tommy, our 2019 42k Your Way ambassador participating again this year. He, along with his family and some of his nurses from their local hospital have joined together to form Team Tommy! Tommy was born with a very rare condition called hypophosphatasia. In just the past 12 months he has grown so much and is thriving in the fresh air and loving life according to Cindy, his mum. They managed a family holding at the beginning of the year making some... wonderful memories with family and friends. He has almost completed his first year of eKindy and will be soon stepping into Prep and joining his big brothers at School of the Air. Cindy told us that the best bit is, Tommy's bones appear to be straightening! Cindy would like to say to everyone participating this year: "Thank you, from a family who totally understand all that the Children’s Hospital Foundation does for not only the patients, but their families, it is a fantastic foundation. The much-needed funding you are raising will go a long way to extending the necessary support to families, but also to research that might one day help someone like Tommy."

24.01.2022 What will you do to boost your fundraising? How far will you go to get that donation? - shave your head? - give up coffee for the week? - live stream a video dance - auction off your favourite item... - double or nothing? Double your marathon target to 84KMS? Tell your friends you’re adding that little extra and let the donations roll in! https://www.42kyourway.org.au/sponsor-fundraiser See more

22.01.2022 We would love to introduce you to 11 year old Estelle from the Sunshine Coast who is participating in 42K Your Way this year going the distance by swimming laps. Estelle decided to sign up to make a difference knowing that she is doing something to help sick kids and that an act of kindness can go a long way. To complete her 42km Estelle is getting up at 4:30am, 4 days a week to go swim. "I train in a 25 metre pool so it's 1680 laps. I never realised how many laps I need to d...o!" she said. Estelle's message to other participants is "Don't give up and just keep pushing yourself. If you're having a bad day and don't feel like exercising remember why you are doing it" Through sharing her participation on social media, in the school newsletter, with her swimming community and family friends she has raised an incredible $1342 - what a legend! Great work, and a big THANK YOU to Estelle!! We are so grateful for you going the distance for sick kids and we were so pleased to hear that the pool is heated to help on those early mornings

22.01.2022 That weekend feeling! Anyone else feel this way? Or is it just us 42K Your Way might be finished, but that doesn't mean we have to stop getting active. Why not keep up the good work you've put in for your health and fitness by doing a few km this weekend. You've shown you can do it!

22.01.2022 It's time to thank your donors! We say thank you and you can too! Plus you never know, they might give us another donation SHARE THIS POST!

19.01.2022 Today we want to bring you the wonderful participant story of Flight Nurse, Jodie. In February this year, Jodie transferred a beautiful little boy and his mum from Rockhampton in Central Queensland to the Queensland Children’s Hospital to begin treatment for cancer. Jodie said she found herself fighting back tears the entire flight and her heart was breaking as the little boy reminded her so much of her own son. This family touched her heart in a way no other patient had be...fore, and she believes she is a better person for meeting them. Jodie hugs her kids for that extra minute every day now! Jodie knows that your donations will help sick kids and their families through the struggles that they face during extremely difficult times and is doing her 42k in honour of the brave little boy she met that day. She hopes she can be as determined as him and do him and the family proud. Jodie, we think you are pretty amazing, and we know everyone is super proud of you! Thank you for going the distance and working wonders for sick kids!

01.01.2022 Today we would love to introduce you to 14-year old Brooke from Taroom in Central Queensland. Brooke decided to participate in 42k Your Way to support and raise awareness for the wonderful work that the Children's Hospital Foundation does to support sick kids like her. Brooke has been completing her marathon effort along with members of her team "Pull Up Your Socks For Brooke". She has been raising awareness of her journey through multiple media channels and you can read h...er story in Queensland Country Life here: http://bit.ly/BrookeHay Brooke said "the biggest challenge will be my health issues which prevent me from walking some days. If this happens my team has some creative ways for me to complete the km's - including pushing me in a wheelbarrow or getting my sisters to carry me!" Brookes words of advice to other participants are "Just keep going. When things get hard, as they do for sick kids, its super important to keep going as after every storm, comes a rainbow". Brooke is currently top of the fundraising leaderboard raising over $8800 so far - AMAZING. This amount is set to increase with Brooke’s online auction starting tonight on her Facebook page Pull Up Your Socks For Brooke. Make sure you check it out, as there are some awesome items up for grabs! Thank you, Brooke, we think you are pretty incredible and can't wait to see you smash your 100km goal!
