17.01.2022 Im late in paying my respects but thought id just make it known. For those unfamiliar Bill Baillie passed away on Christmas day 2018 at 84. He was an Arthur Lydiard deciple and ran successfully over a wide range of distances (880 yds through to 20,000m!) Another Kiwi running great that will go down in the history books. This places urgency on making sure you pick the brain of any vintage "x" athletes in your network that has been there and done that back in the day as they wont be around for ever. 03.01.2022 I wanted to acknowledge two athletes I assisted in training for Melbourne marathon last Sunday. Dom Symes and Josh Cock. Both athletes..... - Incorporated a resistance training block within ... there programme. - Maintained consistent training for 12 + weeks. weeks. - Faced highs and lows during this period. - Stuck to discussed race plan. - achieved THEIR race day goals. To summarise , completing a good marathon( like anything else you want to succeed in )takes perseverance, consistency in smart training and guts. Both Dom and Josh demonstrated all of the above and will grow as runners because of this. Always remember that the mileage you complete today not only contributes to tomorrows race but contribute to races you complete years from now. So dont stop running. 4Runners Head Coach Sam Hicks.
