24.01.2022 High Country Scenic Tours hopes that you have enjoyed a relaxing and enjoyable Christmas and New Year. Now that the festive season is over our 4wd tours will recommence, day trips into the High Country and Craigs Hut offer you an opportunity to experience this magnificent part of the country as well as a welcome relief from the heat down lower. Our scheduled weekly Man From Snowy River Tour runs every Monday (subject to minimum numbers).

24.01.2022 Well the seasons up and running, tracks are open and bush is looking magnificent. Bindaree Falls are cascading beautifully certainly worth the trek up there. If you want to see the best of the High Country contact us at High Country Scenic Tours we know the High Country and its history like the back of our hand. Have a good one, we have every time we are in the bush. Cheers

23.01.2022 Some pics from my day out checking some new tracks and views for our winter tours. Our stomping ground around the Razorback, Craigs Hut, Mt Stirling and Mt Buller will soon be under snow and transformed into a winter play ground.

23.01.2022 Update on fires....we are up and running again, access has been allowed to Mt Stirling, Craigs Hut As we are expecting a couple of days of rain early next week our next scheduled tour will be on Wednesday 22nd Jan hopefully after a nice shower the skies will be clear and the air clean.

22.01.2022 What a difference a day makes and what an amazing experience for our NT and Far Nth Qld guests, 41 deg one day and then this. Hadnt seen snow before so we turned this on for them a few days before summer officially starts....The High Country certainly put on a show.

22.01.2022 One of the hazards of touring high country tracks, all adds to the experience. A bit too big for my chainsaw this time so a bit of local knowledge, backtrack a bit, a different route and we were on our way .... plus a bit of friendly advice to others on the other side. Another successful trip enjoyed by all.

21.01.2022 Our High Country 4wd Tour last Monday had to be shortened due to the earliest heavy snow falls I have seen in 20 years, we made it to Razorback Hut for morning tea and then decided to head down lower. The amount of snow was fantastic and for some guests a new experience. So we will be starting our winter tours a couple of weeks earlier than expected. Come join us on our Bushrangers, Wine, Cheese and Views Tour. Starting in Mansfield we take in the history of the local area, then explore the haunts of Ned Kelly and Harry Powers, Glenrowan, Millawa Cheese Factory, several King Valley wineries, the spectacular views from Powers Lookout and the historic Stringy Bark Creek before returning to your accommodation.

21.01.2022 Biggest yabbie I have cooked in a while...... should taste sooooo goooood.

19.01.2022 Hi, I hope you have managed to keep safe and healthy over this unparalleled period and that the lockdown and restrictions placed on us have not caused too much suffering .... due to the way the majority have adhered to these restrictions I believe better times are in front of us. To all who are yearning to get on the road, see, appreciate and experience this magnificent country of ours, I hope that the current situation is starting to change. International travel and cruises ...are probably going to be the last thing on peoples minds for some time to come. When restrictions are lifted and you can move around again one of the safest places to be will be in the country and less populated areas so don’t forget to pay us a visit in Mansfield ..... gateway to the Victorian High Country ..... and let us show you our backyard, rugged mountain ranges, spectacular scenery, the Man From Snowy River country, waterfalls, cattleman’s huts and much much more. Currently our tours are not operating and our specialised tour vehicles are sitting idle parked up at the moment and have been since January due to bushfires and COVID19 so when we do recommence in November after winter track closures please pay us a visit, it would be greatly appreciated. 16.01.2022 To all our friends and those who have experienced the High Country with us, we now have High Country Scenic Tours web site "www.highcountryscenictours.com" operational and our FB and TripAdvisor pages ready for you to post your photos and comments. So if youve enjoyed your time with us and would like to share your experience, it would be greatly appreciated. If you havent visited the High Country then when you do, we would love to show you around this magnificent part of the country.

15.01.2022 Whilst the rain has been bucketing down thought Id do some baking for tomorrows tour. Fresh Wakkas and scones ( blackberry jam and fresh whipped cream supplied)....... They dont last long.

14.01.2022 Been a while, however the snow is starting to melt so its time to get ready for track opening and get our tours operating. Vehicles to service, maintenance to do, new summer tour brochures to design and print. Enquiries and bookings already coming in. Now I have bookings already for 2 days of touring on 22nd 23rd Nov ember Day 1 is a High Country Craigs Hut Tour, Day 2 is Bushrangers and Outlaws Tour. This will be a fantastic way to see the best of the region. We have seats available for you to join us so give us a call.

14.01.2022 Hi to all lovers of the High Country and intending visitors. Although our operating area around Mt Buller, Mt Stirling and the Razorback is not being immediately impacted by the current fires, we are included in the declared disaster region. Which means we have no access to the state forest or parks ..... so no tours until 31 Jan ( at the moment). I know this will disappoint a lot of visitors who have planned their visit to the region however due to the fires not being that f...ar away and the dispersal of our fire fighting personnel and resources to the active fires it is the safest option. I will keep you informed of any changes to the current situation and when the fires are under control and we have access to our tour areas please come visit and let me show you this magnificent part of Australia. Although devastating and horrific the bush does come back, a lot of the area that we tour through was burnt during the 2006 /2007 fires and you can experience this rejuvenation for yourselves. Please comply with all warnings and closures, keep safe. See more

12.01.2022 No tours today ...... however the diving is good.

12.01.2022 The High Country can certainly turn it on, bright blue skies one minute then an absolute down pour the next, been a long time since Ive experienced rain this heavy. Should make for good riding on the weekend. Have a tour to Craigs Hut tomorrow hope the tracks havent been washed out. Better take my chainsaw, bound to be some trees down.

11.01.2022 What a fantastic day for a trip in the High Country. Blue skies, not a breath of wind a smattering of snow and the views were spectacular. Pity some idiots decided to rip up around No3 hut with 4 wheel drives.

09.01.2022 Another very pleasant day in the High Country with a group from a PROBUS Club in Melbourne out enjoying a day in the bush. Sun was shining although slightly chilly up high.

09.01.2022 High Country Scenic Tours would like to take this opportunity to thank all our guests, friends and their families and to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy and safe new year. We look forward to seeing you the next time you visit the High Country.

08.01.2022 A few pics from a great day out on our winter day tour taking in some great views over Lake Eildon, the Jump Site from Man from Snowy River film, morning tea at our lodge, visiting the Kelly Tree at Stringy Bark Creek and finally the magnificent panoramic view from the Paps.

05.01.2022 Hi all, Bush Experiences has been operating as an Adventure Accommodation and 4wd Tour business for the past 16 years. Brian has now decided, due to the growth of our day/multiday, and accomodation tour packages, to transfer the operation of these to a seperate business. This will enable us to specifically promote tours and tour packages of the Victorian High Country, to a broader market. Looking forward to seeing you soon in the High Country.

05.01.2022 As our High Country winter draws to an end, the snows will melt our tracks and trails will be open again for us to explore. Craigs Hut, Clear Hills, Razorback Hut, Mt Stirling, Bindaree Falls, Monument Track and many other spectacular locations will be on list of destinations for you to visit and enjoy. Our first tour for the season will be on Monday 4th November, departing Mansfield at 9am returning approx 4pm. Cost is $180.00 per person including home prepared morning tea and lunch. It would be appreciated if you could like and share this with other adventurous travellers. Cheers and safe travelling.

04.01.2022 Another perfect day for touring the High Country. Great company, still a bit of snow on Buller, first time experiencing it for one guest. Craigs Hut has now been ticked of the bucket list.

02.01.2022 Missed putting these up from last trip. Winter has come.

02.01.2022 Update on fires....we are up and running again, access has been allowed to Mt Stirling, Craig's Hut As we are expecting a couple of days of rain early next week our next scheduled tour will be on Wednesday 22nd Jan hopefully after a nice shower the skies will be clear and the air clean.
