25.01.2022 Stolen | Submission Yesterday afternoon (16/10) between 5:20-6pm a car was stolen from a property in the Hilltop Estate (Carindale 4152) which was broken into. If anyone has seen this can you please contact Police link (131 444) or the Carina Police station (3055 9000) with any information possible. The car is a BMW M3 in a very distinctive colour, with tinted tail lights and white leather interior.

25.01.2022 Gympie | Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 43-year-old man in Gympie. Preliminary investigations indicate at 6pm yesterday (November 1) a 2001 white Ford Falcon utility has crashed into the front gate of a property on Burns Road, Ross Creek. Information suggests the ute had been involved in an earlier incident at a John Street address in Maryborough where a man was admitted to a Hervey Bay hospital after sustaining a stab wound to his abdomen.... The vehicle was abandoned upon impact and police conducted extensive patrols of the nearby area but were unable to locate persons of interest. At 6am this morning, police arrested a 45-year-old man linked to the vehicle in the vicinity of Burns Road. Subsequently at 10am, a second man was located deceased, down an embankment at a property on Burns Road. Police are appealing for anyone in the Maryborough and Gympie area with information or dashcam vision that may assist with the investigation to please come forward. Investigations into the circumstances of this matter are continuing.

24.01.2022 Rockhampton | Police have arrested and charged a member of the Mongrel Mob Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) with drug offences in Central Queensland. Capricornia District Tactical Crime Squad officers executed a search warrant on a Rockhampton business yesterday where the 38-year-old Frenchville man was arrested. The man has been charged with three counts of supply dangerous drugs, one count each of disobedience to lawful order issued by statutory authority and possess thing sus...pected DMA (mobile phone) He has also been charged with breach of bail conditions and is expected to appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court today. On Thursday, October 1, police executed a search warrant on a Berserker property where it will be alleged a Mongrel Mob shirt was seized. As a result, a 36-year-old Berserker man was issued a Notice to Appear for wearing a prohibited item. Capricornia Crime Group Acting Detective Inspector Luke Peachey said police have taken a very strong approach to the visible carrying or wearing of outlaw motorcycle gang ‘colours’ in all public places. Police remain steadfast in our commitment to addressing the threat of serious and organised crime to keep our community safe, Acting Detective Inspector said. 24.01.2022 Allenstown | Police are searching for the driver of a Ford Falcon who allegedly rammed a police vehicle multiple times in a shopping centre carpark at Rockhampton last night. Just after 8pm officers intercepted the yellow sedan which was parked outside a plaza on Caroline Street in Allenstown. As police exited their unmarked vehicle the Falcon reversed backwards, hitting the vehicle and also the foot of one of the female officers.... The Falcon was driven forward and reversed again at speed, causing significant damage to the police vehicle before fleeing south along Upper Dawson Road. No one was seriously injured. The alleged driver of the Falcon is believed to be a Caucasian woman aged in her 40s with blonde hair and hazel eyes. Two men were also observed as passengers in the car. Anyone who may have seen a 2003 gold/yellow Ford Falcon (Qld Registration 366HFG) with damage to the rear of the vehicle is urged to contact police.

24.01.2022 Tablelands | A 33-year-old Manoora woman will appear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court on December 7 following an incident in Mareeba on Sunday morning (November 22). The woman was at an address on Ward Street at about 1.45am when she was asked to leave by the occupier. It will be alleged that she then called Triple Zero (000) to report that she had been assaulted and needed police to drive her to Cairns.... On arrival at the address, police allegedly discovered that the woman had not been assaulted and when police started loading the woman’s bags into the police vehicle, she allegedly started yelling and swearing at the residents of the house she had been evicted from. The woman was warned several times in relation to her language and was charged with commit public nuisance and improper use of emergency call service.



24.01.2022 Caboolture | A 30-year-old man is assisting police with their inquiries following the serious assault of a male security guard inside a shopping centre in Caboolture this afternoon. Around 1.40pm, a man threw a chair at a shopfront in the King Street centre before being approached by a security guard. The man punched the 38-year-old security guard in the face, causing him to fall backwards and strike his head on the ground.... The victim suffered severe head injuries and was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition. A 30-year-old man was taken into custody in Caboolture late this afternoon. Investigations are continuing.

24.01.2022 Cairns | A Cairns bar has been fined by police for allegedly breaching the Queensland Chief Health Officer’s public health directions. Cairns officers with the assistance of Tropical Public Health Services commenced an investigation into a Grafton Street licensed venue after issues were raised of patrons not social distancing on Friday night (October 9). Investigators will allege the business failed to comply with CHO directions by allowing large groups to gather and not foll...ow COVID safe social distancing practices. Today, the business owners were issued with a penalty infringement notice amounting to $6,672. Business operators are reminded to adhere to public health directions including social distancing measures at all times to reduce the risk of COVID-19 spreading in Queensland.

24.01.2022 Woolloongabba | Police are appealing for witnesses after a warehouse was destroyed by fire at Woolloongabba yesterday evening. Emergency services were called to the Ipswich Road address after smoke was seen coming from the building around 6.30pm. The blaze was brought under control however the warehouse sustained significant damage.... No one was inside at the time. The cause of the fire has not been determined and police are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area at the time to come forward.

24.01.2022 Ormeau | Police have renewed their public appeal to help locate a girl and boy, both aged 11, who are missing from the Gold Coast. The children were last seen at a service station on Peachey Road, Ormeau around 8.30pm on Saturday night (October 10). Police and family hold concerns for their welfare due to their young age.... The girl has a slim build, with long dark brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a light-coloured singlet, floral shorts and joggers. The boy is Aboriginal and approximately 160cm tall with a solid build, olive complexion, brown eyes and short black hair, with blonde on top. The boy was last seen wearing white shorts and no shirt. The children are believed to frequent locations including Main Beach, Southport and Surfers Paradise. Anyone who has seen them or has information regarding their whereabouts is urged to contact police.



23.01.2022 Gold Coast | Detectives have charged two members of the Mongols Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) with drug offences following the execution of search warrants on the Gold Coast today. During the search of a Labrador residence, officers from Taskforce Maxima and the Gold Coast Major and Organised Crime Squad (MOCS) located and seized steroids, a small amount of cannabis, cash and mobile phones. A 31-year-old Coomera man has been charged with trafficking dangerous drugs and will a...ppear in the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow, October 16. A 30-year-old Labrador man has been charged with five counts of possessing dangerous drugs, three counts of contravening an order to provide access to information stored electronically and one count of possession of utensils. He is expected to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on October 29. A third member of the Mongols OMCG was arrested but released without charge. South East Region MOCS Acting Detective Inspector Ian Galpin said police remain steadfast in our commitment to addressing the threat of serious and organised crime to keep our community safe. We will continue to proactively target members of outlaw motorcycle gangs, Acting Detective Inspector Galpin said. 22.01.2022 Kallangur | Officers from the Brisbane Forensic Crash Unit are appealing for witnesses following an early morning crash at Kallangur which resulted in a young boy hospitalised with critical injuries. Preliminary information indicates that at around 6.25am two vehicles collided head-on on Old Gympie Road. A 5-year-old boy, the passenger in one of the vehicles sustained head, chest and abdominal injuries and was transported to the Queensland Children’s Hospital.... A 34-year-old Kallangur woman, the driver of this vehicle, sustained minor injuries. The driver and sole occupant of the other vehicle, a 73-year-old man from Dakabin sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. Anyone who witnessed the crash, and has not already spoken with police, or any motorists with relevant dash cam footage, are asked to contact police

22.01.2022 Morayfield | Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate Morayfield man Matthew Parker. Matthew, 24, was last seen around 5am this morning at a residence on Orlando Court. Concerns are held for Matthew’s welfare and safety as his disappearance is out of character.... He is described as Caucasian, approximately 160cms tall with blonde hair and blue eyes. Matthew was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and black shorts with a thin white pin stripe. Anyone who may have seen him or has any information in relation to his whereabouts is urged to contact police

22.01.2022 Sandgate | Police have revoked an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) following the discovery of a suspicious device in Sandgate this afternoon. Specialist police attended the scene and deemed the device as inactive and not harmful to the community. The PSPA was revoked at 8.10pm.... Police would like to thank the community for their assistance and understanding.

22.01.2022 Grange | Police have charged a man following a sexual assault incident at a Grange health business in January 2020. Police will allege a male chiropractor indecently assaulted an 18-year-old female patient during an appointment. Following extensive investigations, a 52-year-old Laceys Creek man has been charged with one count each of sexual assault and common assault.... The man is expected to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on May 6. Detectives are appealing for any other person who may have had a similar experience in the Grange area to come forward.

21.01.2022 Townsville | Police have arrested and charged four teenagers following a number of incidents involving an alleged stolen vehicle in Townsville today (February 28). It will be alleged a dual cab utility was stolen from an address on Henry Street, West End, around 2am this morning. Patrolling police observed the vehicle on Nathan Street, Vincent at around 12.55pm where it will be alleged the vehicle collided with the side of the police car when officers attempted to intercept i...t. The stolen vehicle then collided with a second vehicle before it sped off from the scene. No one was injured as a result of the collisions and both vehicles sustained minor damage. Around 1.40pm the driver of the stolen vehicle lost control and crashed into a power pole at the intersection of Elizabeth Street and Ross River Road at Aitkenvale. All four occupants fled on foot. Multiple police units attended the location and arrested four teenagers soon after. A 19-year-old Heatley man was charged with two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and one count each of unlawful use of motor vehicle, driving without a licence and trespass. He is due to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court tomorrow (March 1). A 14-year-old girl was charged with five counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle, three counts of stealing, one count each of common assault, unlicensed driving and fare evasion. These matters relate to today’s incident and other alleged recent offences. Investigations are continuing with respect to the remaining suspects.

21.01.2022 Gympie | Gympie detectives have launched a public appeal as part of an investigation into the discovery of human remains in Kybong last month. Investigations commenced on October 11 after a member of the public located the skeletal remains in bushland off Keefton Road. Detectives believe the remains belong to one person who may have died a considerable time ago.... The person, whose gender is yet to be determined, had a metal implant in their leg. Investigators are seeking information to help identify the person and are appealing for anyone who may have information to come forward. Numerous items of clothing including a shirt, pants and shoes (pictured) were located during searches conducted in the surrounding area. At this stage of the investigation, the cause of death remains unknown.

19.01.2022 Mount Julian | A 79-year-old woman has died after a two-vehicle crash at Mount Julian near Proserpine this morning. Initial information indicates around 8.30am a Honda hatchback travelling east on Shute Harbour Road attempted to perform a u-turn, when it collided with a van travelling behind it. Both vehicles caught fire as a result of the crash.... The woman from Proserpine, who was the sole occupant of the car, was pronounced deceased at the scene. A 21-year-old man and sole occupant of the van was taken to Proserpine Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The road is closed in both directions and diversions remain in place. Police are appealing for anyone with dash cam vision or further information to contact them. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

19.01.2022 Pimpama | Police are investigating the suspicious death of a man in Pimpama overnight. Around 12.10am, police were called to an address in Cox Rd and located a man deceased. A short time later a burnout vehicle was located in Mirambeena Drive, Pimpama.... Crime scenes were declared in both locations. The investigation is ongoing.

18.01.2022 Machans Beach | A man has died in a single vehicle traffic crash in Machans Beach early this morning. Investigations indicate the man was travelling along the Captain Cook Highway just after 1am when his Hyundai sedan left the road and struck a tree. The 40-year-old Watsonville man was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.... The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.

18.01.2022 Rockhampton | Detectives are appealing for public assistance after a robbery in North Rockhampton yesterday. Around 6am a man wearing a motorcycle helmet entered a convenience store on Main St in Park Avenue and demanded the attendant to hand over money. The staff member complied and the man fled with cash on a motorbike with no registration plates.... The 15-year-old female attendant was not injured. The man is described as Caucasian, with short facial hair which was sticking out from under the helmet. Anyone with further information is urged to contact police. Investigations are continuing.

17.01.2022 Little Mountain | A man has died following a single-vehicle traffic crash in Little Mountain last night. Preliminary investigations indicate around 6.15pm, a black Ford Ranger travelling east on Sugarbag Road left the roadway and crashed into an embankment. As a result of the crash, the vehicle caught fire.... A 29-year-old Little Mountain man was declared deceased at the scene. Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

16.01.2022 Southport | Police are investigating after a fire caused damage to two businesses in Southport this morning. Officers were called around 2.30am following reports of smoke coming from the rear of the Nerang Street location (on Regents Lane). The fire was quickly brought under control however two businesses were damaged. A crime scene was declared and police investigations into the incident continue.... Police are urging who may have CCTV or dashcam footage in or around Davenport Street, Young Street or Regents Lane between 1am and 2am to contact police immediately.

14.01.2022 Samford Valley | an incident from October 6 where officers from Ferny Grove police station were called to a residence at Samford Valley after a woman became entangled with a 2-3 metre carpet python. The woman was working in her garage when she noticed her cat had the snake cornered under a car just after 7pm. Being a snake owner herself, the woman quickly rescued the wild reptile from the corner however its’ tail quickly coiled around her leg and constricted.... She called emergency services as a precaution to assist in removing the python after it became very clear it wasn’t keen on letting go.

13.01.2022 Cairns | Officers from the Cairns Water Police have charged a 19-year-old Yarrabah man following investigations into a marine incident near Mission Bay on November 9. A full-scale rescue involving police, the Maritime Safety Authority rescue jet and QGAir rescue was commenced at 10pm after members of the Yarrabah community reported a dinghy with two males on board had failed to return as planned. It is alleged the man and a friend intended to go fishing near mangroves not fa...r from the community. The boat started to drift after he was unable to put the motor into gear. The man did not have an anchor on the boat to prevent it from drifting in the prevailing winds. Police and emergency services searched for the boat overnight, extending the search as far as waters near Palm Cove. At around 6.45am the following day, the dinghy was spotted by the rescue jet approximately 4kms east of Yorkeys Knob. The police vessel attended the location and took the two males on board. Their boat was towed back to Yarrabah. Officers from the Water Police last week charged the man with operating a ship whilst not appropriately licenced, failing to have safety equipment and operating an unregistered boat. He is scheduled to appear in the Yarrabah Magistrates Court on December 12. Officer in charge of the Cairns Water Police Sergeant Andrew Ibell, wishes to thank rescue services involved, members of the Yarrabah community who helped searched throughout the night and the Coast Guard and SES who were called in to assist with the morning search.

13.01.2022 Burpengary | A man has been charged with a number of serious offences after allegedly crashing a stolen vehicle in Burpengary this morning. It will be alleged at around 10.40am police conducting patrols observed a stolen white Mitsubishi ASX travelling along Station Road before catching up to the vehicle in a cul-de-sac on Merle Street. It is further alleged the car was driven straight at police, narrowly missing their vehicle before fleeing the scene.... As officers travelled along Station Road the same stolen ASX allegedly approached them from behind at speed before attempting to turn into Melinda Street. The vehicle collided with a traffic island and the alleged driver ran from the wreckage. A 28-year-old man was arrested by attending crews a short time later. It is further alleged that while in custody the man shoulder charged police and attempted to flee again. An officer sustained minor injuries as a result. A 28-year-old Caboolture man has been charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle, serious assault police drink driving, driving unlicensed, evasion, failure to comply with duties of driver involved in a crash, failure to give way and two counts of unlawful possession of suspected stolen property. He is due to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court tomorrow (November 2).

13.01.2022 Iveragh | An 18-year-old Burrum River woman is in a critical condition following a single vehicle traffic crash at Iveragh on November 21. Preliminary investigations indicate around 10:25am a Nissan wagon was travelling north along the Bruce Highway when it veered across onto the wrong side of the road before losing control and rolling several times. The woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was transported to Gladstone Base Hospital before being airlifted to the Royal B...risbane and Women’s Hospital. The 18-year-old female driver of the wagon was transported to hospital with minor injuries. Investigators are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or any motorists with dashcam travelling on the Bruce Highway at Iveragh between 10 and 10.30am on November 21, to contact police. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

13.01.2022 Update | Detectives have released the image of a 24-year-old Ingham man they would like to speak with, as part of the investigation into the death of a man in Ingham on Sunday, January 10. Caleb Rutherford (pictured) has not made contact with police, and investigators wish to speak with him in relation to the death of a 20-year-old man at 11.30pm on Sunday night. Anyone who knows Caleb’s whereabouts or has seen him since around 11.30pm on Sunday (January 10), is urged not to ...approach him but to immediately contact police on Triple Zero (000). 13.01.2022 Nerang | Forensic Crash Unit officers are investigating the circumstances of a fatal traffic incident that claimed the life of a 53-year-old motorcyclist. Around 6am today the Merrimac man was fatally injured after he fell from the motorbike he was riding northbound on the Pacific Motorway at Nerang near exit 71. Police are yet to confirm the circumstances of the incident but early investigations suggest a number of vehicles including the rider of the motorcycle took evasive ...action to avoid a ladder which fell from a trailer being towed by a ute. As a result the motorcyclist was struck by one of the vehicles and sustained fatal injuries. Police have located the vehicle it is believed the ladder came from and are speaking to the driver. Investigations are ongoing.

12.01.2022 Cairns | A senior woman said she was most impressed with police after her sentimental jewellery was returned to her less than six hours after it was stolen from her home. Two 14-year-old Northern Beaches boys have been charged after they allegedly forced entry to the woman’s Langan Street home in the afternoon on October 4. It will be alleged the pair ransacked the ground floor of the home and fled after stealing a quantity of valuable and sentimental jewellery.... With the help of witnesses and nearby CCTV, officers from the Property Crime Squad tracked down the alleged offenders at homes in Holloway’s Beach and Earlville. It will be alleged the pair were still in possession of the stolen jewellery. Both boys were charged with burglary and are scheduled to appear before the Cairns Children’s court.

11.01.2022 Beelbi Creek | A woman has died, and two children have been transported to hospital following a single-vehicle crash in Beelbi Creek last night. Preliminary investigations indicate around 6pm, a Nissan station wagon travelling along Beelbi Creek Road has left the roadway and crashed into a tree. As a result of the collision, a 39-year-old Burrum Town woman, who was driving the vehicle was declared deceased at the scene.... Two children travelling in the vehicle were transported to Hervey Bay Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing.

11.01.2022 Booval | Detectives are appealing for a woman to contact them in relation to an attempted murder investigation that occurred on September 22. Initial investigations indicate around 4.40pm, a 25-year-old Bundamba man entered a supermarket and allegedly discharged a compound bow hitting a 15-year-old girl. The witness (pictured) was walking along South Station Road prior to this incident, and police believe the compound bow may also have been discharged in her direction.... Police are urging the woman, or anyone who may know her identity, to contact them.

10.01.2022 Silkstone | Detectives have released vision in relation to the armed robbery of a service station in Silkstone yesterday afternoon. A man entered the Blackstone Street store around 3.30 pm and walked behind the counter before threatening a 24-year-old male store attendant with a knife. The man fled the store on foot with sum of cash.... The man is described as about 175 cm tall, medium build, short dark hair; wearing a dark navy-blue hooded jumper, long black pants and black shoes. The store attendant was not physically injured in the incident. Anyone who recognises the man or has further information is urged to contact police.

10.01.2022 Nambour | A man has died following a motorcycle crash in Nambour last night. Preliminary investigations indicate around 6.15pm, a was motorcyclist travelling west on Carter Road towards Blaxland Street when he lost control of the motorcycle and crashed. A 38-year-old Mapleton man was declared deceased at the scene.... Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

10.01.2022 Burleigh Heads | Police are seeking public assistance to help locate a 22-year-old man reported missing from Burleigh Heads. James McCarthy (pictured) was last seen at 8.30pm on Thursday October 29, at a residence on Plantation Road and has not been heard from since. Police hold concerns for his welfare as he suffers from a medical condition.... James is described as Caucasian, approximately 167cm tall light brown hair and blue eyes. He is likely travelling in a red, 2012 Subaru Impreza, similar to the one pictured, with license plate 171SPC. Anyone who has seen James or has information regarding his location is asked to contact police.

10.01.2022 Tugun | Two men have been charged after police located eight kilos of cocaine during a vehicle intercept at the border checkpoint in Tugun on Friday. Officers performing border duties on October 30 stopped a car around 3pm in the northbound lanes of the Pacific Motorway at the QLD/NSW checkpoint. Two men were the alleged occupants of the vehicle when a search was conducted and the dangerous drugs subsequently uncovered. A quantity of ecstasy and cannabis was also located.... A 26-year-old Sippy Downs man has been charged with three count of possessing dangerous drugs and one count of possession of utensils. A 31-year-old New Beith man was charged with one count of possession of dangerous drugs. Both men have been remanded in custody and are due to reappear in Southport Magistrates Court on November 2.

08.01.2022 Update | Police searching for 36-year-old woman Amy Schulkin are again appealing for anyone who may have seen her to come forward. Amy was last seen in her white 2001, Nissan Patrol, Queensland registration 257VTN (pictured) on Wednesday December 30. The most recent photo of Amy in her vehicle was taken just before midnight on Lower King Street, Caboolture heading towards the Bruce Highway and Bribie Island interchange.... Further investigations suggest she had previously visited a Morayfield Road address in Burpengary after leaving a John Street residence in Caboolture South the same night. Despite a number of reports there have been no confirmed sightings of her since. Both police and family hold strong concerns for her welfare. Amy is Caucasian, around 160cm in height, of a larger build with spiky brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone with vision or further information about where Amy may be is urged to contact police. Investigations are continuing and at this stage there is nothing suspicious surrounding the circumstances leading to her disappearance. 07.01.2022 Bramble Bay | Two men were rescued after using safety equipment when jet skiing in Bramble Bay late yesterday afternoon. Around 5.45pm, multiple people called emergency services to advise they had seen a distress flare activated by the men about 1km off the coast of Woody Point. Water police and Polair responded and were able to quickly locate the men, whose jet ski had become disabled, and transport them and the jet ski back to the main land.... Senior Sergeant David Edden of Water Police Brisbane said: The correct use of safety equipment can be the difference between a safe trip and tragedy. In this case, the distress signal alerted authorities and police were able to work quickly to recuse the men and their vessel before dark. 06.01.2022 Kingston | Police have charged a 21-year-old Kingston man after a fire at an apartment complex yesterday. Police and emergency services were called to the Mayes Avenue address in Kingston around 5.40pm following reports of smoke coming from the complex. When police arrived an apartment was engulfed in flames. The fire was extinguished however the property was significantly damaged. No one was injured in the incident.... Police will allege the man broke multiple windows before deliberately setting the apartment on fire. It will be alleged he then left the scene before returning around 7.30pm. He was immediately taken into custody. He was charged with one count of arson and is due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court today (November 2). Investigations are ongoing and police are appealing for any witnesses, or any motorists who may have dash cam footage for Kingston Road and Clare Road between 5:30 7:30pm, to please contact police.

06.01.2022 Marlborough | A man has died after a crash involving a truck and car north of Marlborough early this morning. Initial investigations suggest just after 1am a car collided head on with the semi-trailer around 10 kilometres north of the town. The driver of the sedan was pronounced deceased at the scene while the truck driver escaped serious injury.... The highway has been closed all morning and will remain closed for a number of hours. Traffic diversions have been in place. Anyone with further information is urged to contact police. Forensic Crash Unit investigations are underway.

06.01.2022 Mount Isa | A 75-year-old Gladstone man has died following a single vehicle traffic crash near Mount Isa. Preliminary investigations indicate around 11:15am a Foton utility towing a caravan was travelling east along the Barkly Highway towards Cloncurry. The utility was overtaking a road train when it has lost control and left the roadway, crashing into a tree.... The driver and sole occupant of the utility was declared deceased at the scene. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

05.01.2022 Kallangur | Investigators from the Forensic Crash Unit are appealing for witnesses after two people were critically injured in a traffic crash at Kallangur this morning (Sunday, November 1). Preliminary information indicates a silver hatchback was travelling westbound on Anzac Avenue at around 7.45am when it collided with an eastbound grey hatchback at the intersection with Brays Road. A man and woman, walking their dog, we’re also crossing Anzac Avenue at the intersection.... Following the collision, the silver hatchback then struck both of the pedestrians. All four people, the two drivers and the two pedestrians were transported to hospital for treatment. A 31-year-old Kallangur man, driver of the silver hatchback, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. A 46-year-old Murrumba Downs woman, initially trapped in her grey hatchback, is in hospital with critical injuries. The male pedestrian, a 51-year-old Kallangur man, remains in hospital with critical head injuries. His wife, a 50-year-old woman, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash, or has relevant dashcam footage, to contact them

04.01.2022 Cairns | Cairns detectives have charged an 18-year-old Kanimbla man after he allegedly exposed himself to a group of high school students waiting at a Sheridan Street bus stop at around 3.10pm on October 13. Multiple calls were made to police, officers immediately attended the area and took the man into custody on the corner of Grove and Sheridan Streets. He was later charged with wilful exposure and is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court today. Detectives will conduct further investigations following witness accounts that the man allegedly grabbed and hugged two female students.

03.01.2022 Silkstone | Police have arrested a 29-year-old man following investigations into a series of property offences in the Silkstone area ranging from September 9 to yesterday. Police will allege the man was caught on camera stealing a quantity of cash from a Blackstone Road business, September 9. Police further allege around 4pm, October 11, the same man entered a Blackstone Road service station, threatened the attendant with a knife whilst demanding money and fled with a quantit...y of cash and the attendant’s wallet. Yesterday the man allegedly entered a Silkstone automotive business and stole a cash tin from the office area and fled on foot. At around 6.30pm that day, the 29-year-old man allegedly entered the same Blackstone Road service station and robbed the attendant at knife point, kicking the attendant when he was unable to comply with demands, then escaping on foot with a further quantity of cash. Police investigations led them to a licenced premises on Brisbane Road Booval where they arrested the 29-year-old man. He was subsequently charged with two counts of robbery and one count each of enter premises with intent, stealing and common assault. He is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court today.

In the past two months, we have seen more than 170 people either fined or served with court notices for breaching Queensland’s Border Direction. 02.01.2022 Gympie | A 28-year-old Southside man has been charged after a number of shots were allegedly fired across the Gympie Division on Saturday afternoon (February 27). Just before 6pm, it will be alleged the man was in the company of a colleague at a local hotel when they became involved in a verbal dispute. At this time, it will be alleged he threatened to shoot the colleague. It will further be alleged he returned home and became involved in an argument with a woman at the addre...ss which resulted in her fleeing with her two children. The man allegedly then removed a 12-gauge shotgun from his safe before firing two shots while in his vehicle, a black Holden Commodore sedan, which was parked outside the residence. The man then began driving along Excelsior Road before allegedly firing two more shots into the air, before proceeding to his colleague’s address. When he was unable to find his colleague at the address, police will allege he discharged the shotgun three times into the air while standing outside the unit block. He then performed a burnout on the driveway of the unit complex causing the rear tyres of his car to dislodge from the wheel rims and continued to drive throughout Gympie on the rims. Police will allege the man drove to his work site next where he fired numerous shots into the air before ramming the gates with his vehicle, causing extensive damage. It will further be alleged he then discharged his firearm approximately 16 times into the metal office door to gain entry. Once inside, the man allegedly took the keys to a truck and travelled along Tin Can Bay Road to the Freshwater track at Rainbow beach where it will be alleged he travelled 15 km along the sand track before crashing the truck into a tree. At 1.30am the man was located by police at the Freshwater Campgrounds and taken into custody. Police allegedly located the 12-gauge shotgun nearby. He has been charged with four counts of dangerous conduct with a weapon, two counts of wilful damage and one count each of dangerous operation of a vehicle, enter premise and commit, unlawful use of motor vehicle and use a carriage service to make a threat. He was denied bail and is due to appear in Gympie Magistrates Court today (March 1). Police are calling on any witnesses who may have seen any of these incidents, or the vehicle that was used, to contact police.

01.01.2022 Cairns | Detectives have charged a 17-year-old White Rock boy following investigations into an attempted armed robbery on Cannon Street at around 11pm on November 21 (Saturday). It will be alleged the teenager approached a taxi and threatened the male driver with a hammer, demanding cash. The driver was able to drive away.
