22.01.2022 B Platoon and our retained were kept busy with numerous grass fires last night, including this one which came within metres of the rear of factories on Dunheved Circuit. Numerous neighbouring FRNSW stations were called in to assist due to the enormity of the blaze, as well as water tankers from the Rural Fire Service. It took several hours to completely extinguish the fires.

19.01.2022 Please leave the fireworks to the experts. With a total fire ban in place across much of the state, including the Sydney region, only licensed pyrotechnicians with TOBAN exemptions are allowed to let off fireworks. From all the crews here at 78, have safe and joyous New Year celebrations.

11.01.2022 During the recent bushfire crisis, thousands of Fire and Rescue NSW permanent and retained firefighters have been deployed to assist our volunteer counterparts in the Rural Fire Service. As well as the frontline commitment from FRNSW, there is a lot of behind the scenes work going on to coordinate strike teams, liasing with the other agencies involved and gathering of information to help in strategic decision making. While all this is going on, we are still maintaining our capability to deal with hundreds of day-to-day incidents.
