24.01.2022 This is why creating new habits is so vital in the journey to achieving your goals.

24.01.2022 #1 obstacle - thoughts. Whatever the story is that you keep telling yourself is what the outcome will be. Maybe it’s time to stop and reflect on who started your story.... a parent, a relative and teacher. Are you continuing on with the same story or are you going to write a The End and start a new one????

21.01.2022 #ISOchallenge Daily walk Tips. If you can, go out at different times of the day. Notice how the landscape differs depending on the weather and amount of sun. You might see and say Hi to different people and their pets/kids. As much as this situation has created great stress, there’s also a great opportunity to slow down and pay attention to what is around you.

21.01.2022 I’ve always been grateful for this opportunity in the middle of my numerous fuck-ups.

21.01.2022 23 years. 30 kilograms. WHEN I WAS FAT it was because I ate too much, moved too little, bull-shitted myself and made bad choices. It was one hundred percent me.... It wasn’t my genetics. Wasn’t a medical condition. Wasn’t a hormonal issue. Wasn’t knowledge. Wasn’t resources. Wasn’t time. The problem was me. And when I finally owned up and stepped up, I was the solution. My thinking, choosing and behaving were the problems and my fat body was the consequence. And when I dealt with the real problems, my lean body was the result. And before anyone gets hysterical or offended, don’t. I’m talking about my body, my behavior and my experience. If my story resonates, then maybe do something. If not, see you next post. PS. Ageing is unavoidable but how you age is optional. See more

16.01.2022 I really only share this sort of thing with my MP Professionals but I thought it might help your journey....because I had an invaluable lesson rammed home to me... on the weekend. While paddleboarding.... I had an ocean race, and it was in my backyard here on the Sunshine Coast. It was a run a I knew well and do quite often. So I was quite confident.. Not even 100 meters into it, I fell off my board. In paddleboard racing, the start is absolutely crucial. As I climbed back on my board I looked up to see the lead pack racing away, reaching top speed about 300 m ahead... In that one instant, all my race tactics, who I was going to work with, be with at certain points, was all gone. I was filthy on my self.. I was dead last, and in for a long, painful slog on my own...for the rest of the day. The lead pack was so far a head, the only fellow I could make out some 300 meters away was a former National and World Ironman Champion, his name is Myles Blackwell. I did the only thing I could do.. I just started paddling. I put my head down and just paddled, I didn’t look up. I focused on the water in front of me, nothing else. When I did round the last buoy, about 15 kms later I looked up and saw I’d clawed back most of the field. I’d also beat Myles by a couple of minutes. In that very moment of finishing, I couldn’t feel my legs, my shoulders ached, and I was nauseous with fatigue, I realized... a) Sh#t happens. And often when you really don’t want it to. b) There is no substitute for doing the hard yards. You just can’t get around doing the hard work. And when you do, most always, the results are better than anticipated. I’d love to tell you all that when I fell off my board, I climbed back on filled with rage and i gritted my teeth, charged back into it and that the adversity made me paddle like a champion it didn’t. I had the shits, big time. I’m not a champion, but I am a stayer. I don’t give up, ever. That’s often how you ‘win’. Not by doing something amazing or special, but often success comes down to simply outlasting the situation you find yourself in. And never giving up. Have a great week.

14.01.2022 #1 fitness/fat loss tip. Get a decent nights sleep - regularly! Boring as all get-out but has more impact than anyone gives it credit for. Perhaps it’s time to lose the idea that you need to bust your arse training 5-6x a week to achieve your fat loss goals. Get More ... Sleep See more

13.01.2022 ISO challenge. Are you getting in your 10k steps? Use your phone or watch to check how many steps you’ve been getting in over the last week? What’s your average? If it’s not 10k, maybe challenge yourself to increase your steps by 500 each day for a week, then another 500 each day for a week. IE average has been 6000 steps a day. Walk 6500 steps each day for a week, then 7000 each day for a week etc etc until you get to 10k. Then work on keeping that habit! Small changes over time can add up to a big one! (No need to rush out and get a pedometer - your phone will have one. The attached photo is from the Health app on my phone).

07.01.2022 It really is slow cooker weather! I don't know about you but at the end of the day there is nothing better than being able to walk through the door and have dinner ready. https://mp-body.com//recipe-of-the-week-slow-cooked-pineap Winner, winner chicken dinner.

05.01.2022 8 Ways to Transform from Intender to Doer (off the back of yesterday’s post) 1. Face your fears. It’s where you grow, learn and build strength. 2. Acknowledge ...the problem but focus on a solution. 3. Do the uncomfortable thing first; the thing you’ve been avoiding. 4. Hang out with doers. Immerse yourself in a doing mentality. 5. Visualise your life in 5 years if you don’t become a doer. 6. Remove the escape clause. Don’t give yourself an ‘out’. 7. Replace occasional motivation (emotion) with all-the-time commitment (mindset). 8. Be patient. The instant gratification mindset is cancerous. See more
