13.01.2022 Hi everyone, yesterday I had to make a very difficult decision, and with a heavy heart, 8 below will be closing down. Due to personal reasons, I am no longer able to work the hours needed to run my store. I had hoped to hire someone on a permanent basis, but with so many people opting to buy online, or in Melbourne and Geelong, this has not been possible. The landlord now wants a two year lease and I cannot commit to that based on the last year’s figures. I would like to than...k you all, our wonderful customers for your support over the past 2 and a half years, and also to those who put in long hours getting me set up, not once, but twice. You know who you are, and I couldn't have done it without you. Please don't let us close in vain, next time you hear someone discussing their online and out of town purchases, take a moment to remember what this does to your local retailers. It's about education, and if one thing can be taken from us closing, our wish is for it to encourage the community to support local business.
