23.01.2022 We haven't really got into posting culinary delights yet... this might be the start: Our Harvest Stew, bubbling away in the slowcooker... at the vineyard pump station, only power for miles. Red wine (our cab of course!) gravy, beef, root vegs, potatoes, end of season tomatoes and other stew essentials. This is our small batch wine, grown at our Clytha vineyard on Riddoch Highway, #coonawarra, and crafted into wine at the Glen Roy Shearing Shed, just up the road. We love the hands on approach and cant wait to see how it tastes after some time in the barrels! #woodblockwines

18.01.2022 Its finally feeling like summer. Our Riddoch Hwy vineyard mid-row pasture has browned off, been trimmed and here our Cabernet Sauvignon block is looking very neat. Wonder if therell be more green grass after this weeks rain?

15.01.2022 Can I apply for a NIGHTMARE INDUCING bonus? The night went something like this "Darling, on your way home from town can you please pop in and switch the valves on the irrigation. Row 32, about 25m in, pick up a stick..." Sure says the (only 9 year, SO much to learn) wife of viticulturalist... there were 100s of these full-row-width magnificently terrifying webs to negotiate with happy chubby golden orb spiders eating their evening meals. 09.01.2022 The Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival was held over the weekend. A must attend event for our team each year. This year Sarah shared how she came to Penola and feels privileged to be part of an amazing exhibition with eight Penola women created by The Terra Rossa CWA group with photography by Christy Radford of With Love Photography. The exhibition - Portraits of Penola Women: They Came for Love, is currently featuring at Parker Estate Coonawarras cellar door. Our Federal MP Tony Pasin even mentioned it in Parliament yesterday its leaving quite an impression!

06.01.2022 Our Black Swans Beef Steak and Burgundy Club held its AGM this month, at Drink Ottelia + Eat Fodder hosted by our wine committee. Challenging the norms - for one of our courses we had amazing smoked egg with greens, matched with three reds. Thanks for the experience! We both love being part of our respective clubs, enjoying good food and wine! Were looking forward to being part of hosting the Beef Steak and Burgundy International Convention in Coonawarra in November, Tims on the committee - the preparations are in full swing.
