Further details regarding risk management and approval will also shortly be released via Information Circular (via our email, social media, website). At this stage only home parades and day activities will be approved. Requirements will still be dependent on and subject to any state-based restrictions which take precedence. Further information will be provided in the coming week to ensure adequate planning, preparation and training is provided to all involved. I am sure many of you will be excited to return to cadets and I thank everyone for their patience. 10.01.2022 REMEMBRANCE DAY 2020 // WE REMEMBER THEM Originally known as Armistice Day, Remembrance Day is observed on 11 November, at 11am, and marks the signing of the pe...ace agreement between Germany and the Allies that ended the Great War of 1914-1918. The Second World War began just 21 years later. Almost a million Australians served during that conflict, which lasted close to six years. Armistice Day was then renamed Remembrance Day. TODAY: Now Remembrance Day is a day to remember and honour all Australians who have served our great country. LEARN more here: https://www.awm.gov.au/commemoration/remembrance-day ONE MINUTE SILENCE: By observing one minute's silence at 11am we pay tribute to the men and women who have served and are still serving in our defence forces and remember those who have died or suffered in conflicts, wars and peacekeeping operations. Where-ever you are, we encourage all of our Australian Air Force Cadets members, families and supporters to remember them by observing one minute's silence - at 11 am on the 11th of November, for Remembrance Day. LIVESTREAM: watch the livestream from the Australian War Memorial at 10:45am AEDT: https://www.facebook.com/AWMemorial/videos/372302997357427/ FLYPASTS: As part of Remembrance Day commemorations our friends at Royal Australian Air Force are conducting flypasts in specific locations around the country.
