16.01.2022 Well with the season cut short championships were just heating up however at the chequered flag fall after 3 of the 4 rounds scheduled it was Brock Dean in the ...99Q DTR Mechanical/FWord Speedshop King Hawk who topped the ladder after three 2nd places and banking ironically "99" points to take the Inaugural Nexgen/Nupave Highbank Hussle in Toowoomba Sunny Coaster Troy Ware in the Troy Ware Constructions/James Hardie Bullet Mopar, Troy claimed a round win with a dominant drive just before heading to the National Title in Warrnambool, This round 3 was to be the final and with a pairing of solid places in the other two shows he took home 2nd with 88 points. Fellow Sunny Coaster Rusty Whittaker in the Steelmart Sunshine Coast/Craig Thompson Machining BOSS Esslinger 89Q was also a lucky winner of a round taking the Fword Speedshop Joker Challenge from P12 in Round 2 then parking the BOSS in victory lane while a DNF in round one hurt the challenge another podium in the final saw him slot into third overall on 73 points. 13.01.2022 Wrapping up the series of "Top 3's" is the inaugural American Tire and Racing Series Archerfield Midget Series. Rusty Whittaker in the Steelmart Sunshine Coast/...GSA Advanced Machining BOSS Esslinger took the line honours in the ATRS for 19/20,Taking heat and feature race wins along his way to banking 302 points. Brock Dean in the 99Q King Hawk from DTR Mechanical/Fword Speedshop was hot on the heals of the 89 racer also having a great string of podium visits throughout the shortened series taking home 291 series points and 2nd overall. After a stellar run of super solid results Matt O'Neill in his first season of being a Migeteer in the Afco Shock Doctor Chris Foreman owned 16Q Breka Porsche found himself 3rd overall in the ATRS Archerfield Midget Series also making the podium on one occasion however it was a season of consistency that earned his the final placing. 07.01.2022 The DTR team have had a great start to the racing season. Round one of the American Tire series at Archerfield, we had a brake issue and dropped a heat and qualified 6th for the A main and came home in 3rd place. We then made the trip down to Parramata for round 2 of the USC. we qualified 6th again and managed to work our way to a second place finish on a tricky race track. ... The next outing saw us tacking on round one of the Nupave/Nexgen Hire high bank hustle at Toowoomba speedway where we qualified 4th and came home in 2nd place on a cool high line track. Back at Archerfield for round two of the American Tire series . We qualified 4th for the main and finished 2nd again. Last Saturday night we parked it in victory Lane in round 3 of the American Tire series at Archerfield Speedway. After qualifying 4th we got into 2nd quickly and followed Darren Vine for most of the race and moved to the top of the track and got the lead on lap 22 of 25 to get the win. We definitely have a very fast hot rod thanks to King Chassis's by Justin Insley Fabrication

06.01.2022 Another QSRA points score that was heating up to be a classic show down was in fact the battle for the QSRA Club Championship and it was again Brock Dean in the... 99Q DTR Mechanical/FWord Speedshop King Hawk rattling the top of the ladder with a string of solid placings in heats and features to bank 428 points and claim victory in the QSRA points score Rusty Whittaker in the Steelmart Sunshine Coast/RAW Metal Corp BOSS Esslinger 89Q had some "ding dong" battles on track with the 99 car also sharing a lot of the GSA Quicktime, heat and feature race glory so after the rounds completed Whittaker slotted into 2nd overall on 410.5 points. Third in this seasons QSRA Club Championship after a short in a new combo of a King SR11 was the "Wiley Fox" Darren Vine with his Craig Thompson Machining/Mike Vine Turbos 6Q. Viney hadn't hit the top step of the podium until the final round however consistency was the key and he can never be counted out banking 342 points was enough to seal the deal on 3rd overall.
