Workout - 24 x Bridge jacks 24 x Mt climbers 24 x Sit ups 24 x High knees 24 x BURPEES Tip - Bridge jacks and Mt climbers keep bum down, hand/ arms in line with shoulders and back flat, which will keep core active throughout the exercise. 16.01.2022 Working from home at a desk all day isn't easy on the back and bum... 3 banded exercises that will get your back and bum active for before work, during work or after work. 1. Side walks (3-5 sets of 20-30 reps) ... - Beginners band around knees or advance band around ankles - Half squat, hips back - Tighten core - Lock knees out for optimumal glute activation - Take a big step to the side keep tension and feet wide - Repeat 20-30 steps 2. Straight leg extension/raise (3-5 sets of 10-20 reps each side) - Band around ankles keeping leg straight - Keep band tight - Tighten core - Rest on wall or rail - Tighten glute and hamstring to raise leg on slight ankle back - Alternate legs and repeat 3. Pull apart with Power band (3-5 sets of 10-15 reps hold last rep for 10 seconds) - Beginner grab 1 side of band or advance grab 2 sides of power band - Tighten core and glutes - Chest up - Band/ arms above shoulder level in line with eyes - Pull band out keeping arms straight - Squeeze shoulder blades in together and hold - Repeat with last rep hold for 10 secdonds LIKE ..... 14.01.2022 Check out this Easy Italian Pasta Salad by Pinch of Yum: https://pinchofyum.com/pasta-salad What you will need: 1 pound uncooked pasta I like rotini! 3 cups cherry tomatoes, cut in half... 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese balls, cut in half 1 lb. salami or summer sausage, cut into cubes 3/4 cup kalamata olives, sliced 3/4 cup pepperoncini (optional, but do it) 1/2 cup sliced red onion 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped And for the Dressing: 1 1/2 cups olive oil 1/4 cup white vinegar (white vinegar or red wine vinegar work) 1/4 cup water 2 tablespoons coarse sea salt (yes, tablespoons see notes!) 2 cloves garlic (or 1 teaspoon garlic powder) 1 tablespoon sugar 2 teaspoons each dry oregano and dry basil black pepper to taste fresh herbs if you want! sometimes I add fresh parsley, basil, or chives. 13.01.2022 Low-cal beef stroganoff INGREDIENTS 400g thick beef fillet steaks 4 large field mushrooms, thickly sliced... 150g pkt oyster mushrooms, torn 150g button mushrooms 1 tablespoon no-added-salt tomato paste 250ml (1 cup) Massel salt reduced chicken style liquid stock 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce 250g dried tagliatelle pasta 80ml (1/3 cup) light cream for cooking 1/4 cup chopped fresh continental parsley Steamed broccolini, to serve METHOD: Step 1- Place a large non-stick frying pan over high heat. Spray lightly with oil. Season the steaks and cook for 4 minutes each side for medium-rare. Transfer to a plate and set aside to rest. Step 2- Spray the pan again with oil. Add the field mushrooms. Cook over high heat, stirring, for 2 minutes or until starting to soften. Add the oyster and button mushrooms and cook, stirring, for 2 minutes or until tender. Add the tomato paste and stir to coat. Reduce heat to medium and stir in the stock and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes or until reduced slightly. Step 3- Meanwhile, cook the tagliatelle in a large saucepan of boiling water, following packet directions, until al dente. Drain. Step 4- Add the cream to the frying pan and simmer for 1 minute. Thickly slice the beef and add to the pan along with the parsley. Stir until the beef is just warmed through. Season. Step 5- Divide pasta among serving bowls and top with stroganoff. Goals can be put into 3 categories: short-term (1 week - 3 months), long-term (3 months - 1 year) and mini goals (1 day - 1 week).... Be SMART when writing down goals, be SPECIFIC/ clear in the goal, understand how to MEASURE if you achieved it, make sure it's ACHIEVABLE, be REALISTIC and last set a TIME to achieve it.
