25.01.2022 We cannot commemorate Anzac Day the same way this year. The spirit is still there. You can see it on the faces of those who marched in years past. To those who have been called to higher duty, Lest We Forget.
18.01.2022 This was sent by Kathryn Mitten, grand-daughter of Sapper Allan Boase. This photo is either from the 1951 or 1952 Anzac day reunion in Melbourne. The venue was most likely the Swan Street Barracks. Allan is kneeling, second from right. If you know the names of any others, please post names. Lest we Forget.
17.01.2022 Followers of the 9th Australia Division. The Pilgrimage Service is being held on 23rd October. Even though the Shrine is temporarily closed to the public, you'll be able to watch the service live on Facebook or YouTube.
16.01.2022 Ed Payne VX70606 (1920-2013), was a much loved member of the 9th Div Sappers. He was quite a character really and sometimes shared stories of his wartime experience. This interview from 2003 gives us a wonderful insight to Ed as a person and as a soldier in the Australian Army.
