23.01.2022 This past week Sydney experienced significant weather events including an amazing electrical storm. Look what happens when a lightning bolt strikes a tree literally explosive. Pieces of this Hoop pine were found 100 metres from the tree. Luckily for our client this happened in an unopened section of their village and there were no injuries or damage to property. We attended site to make safe and clean up. With over 25 years’ experience in the industry you can trust A & A Arbor Tree Service for all your emergency work.

22.01.2022 The past two weeks has seen some of the most intense emergency response to tree failures our team has experienced. Our co-owner, Glen Dwyer, was interviewed about this in yesterday's Daily Telegraph.

15.01.2022 Tips for hiring an Arborist The tree industry is notoriously challenging for picking a contractor for your job. There are many unqualified individuals with little experience that leave clients with shoddy and dangerous results. And in the case of the individuals in the attached article, leave them with very large fines. So how do you ensure that you are choosing the right company for your job? We’ve put together some helpful tips to help you decide on the right person for you...r tree removal or pruning. 1. Insurance ask your contractor for copies of their current Public and Product Liability insurance and Workers Compensation insurance. 2. Qualifications ensure that your arborist is a minimum AQF Level 3 arborist. Some companies, like us, will have an AQF Level 5 qualified arborist who is qualified in consulting. 3. Licensing the industry is unregulated meaning there are a lot of cowboys with a ute and chainsaw out there. Industry associations such as the Tree Contractors Association of Australia provide licensing to their members who have to meet strict requirements in regards to WHS, insurance and qualifications to receive a license number. 4. Knowledge, experience and advice engage a contractor that has extensive industry experience, a broad knowledge of the complexities of tree maintenance and who is willing to take the extra time to talk to you about your job in depth. 5. Price ensure that you’ve considered all the above points and don’t be tempted to use a company based on the cheapest price. You could end up paying more in the long run. With over 25 years in the industry and a proud member of the Tree Contractors Association of Australia, you can trust A & A Arbor Tree Service with all your tree needs. 14.01.2022 Rain, glorious rain! Despite the weather hampering our work schedule today, we are so excited and relieved to finally see some decent rainfall in Sydney. Have you noticed some of your trees have foam at the base? This is nothing to worry about and occurs naturally when rain water dissolves chemicals from the bark and leaves. As water flows down the trunk, the surface tension changes and can create a foamy appearance. Got a tree question - don’t hesitate to ask. With over 25 years of industry experience and knowledge we’ve got you covered.
