19.01.2022 So at last... the Federal Government is being challenged in their mental health approach and it’s what I have been batting on abou since March!! Best statement is from Ian Hickie...Medicare subsidised Psychological services will only benefit 'privileged’ due to the gap fee incurred!!

13.01.2022 Please Greg Hunt MP, please Morrison allow mental health nurses to now be included in the MBS Better Access for our patients!! Please increase the CDM Items from 5 to 20 for people with more complex health and mental health issues! Please please please!!!! We have been asking for this since March and nothing!! Please increase mental health funding through PHNs for the most vulnerable clients that we are!! Our sessions are capped and we will need more for our people!! #WeNeedToDoThisTogether

08.01.2022 This week is Carers Week. As Mental Health Nurses, we see on a daily basis the dedication and support Carers provide to our clients. Today and this week, we pay a special tribute to all the amazing people who provide love, support, compassion and assistance to all clients and those in the broader community. The Carer Gateway provides information and advice on the supports available to carers across Australia, and has a great range of online resources to help promote carer wellbeing. To find out more, and to access online support services, head to www.carergateway.gov.au

05.01.2022 And there it is again.... Budget release for mental health means you can now receive an additional 10 counselling sessions through Medicare! Whilst this is good.. it is not free!! Again our Primary Mental Health Nurses and their clients can’t access the Medicare system because this workforce continue to be excluded despite begging the Government and Greg Hunt MP about the huge need for their clients! Again..... more money given to Medicare where there is no requirement for b...ulk billing!! Again you have missed the mark.. those who are unemployed, those who are low income and those who are vulnerable!! How are they supposed to afford this?? So disappointed!!

01.01.2022 As a Mental Health Nurse, I am always proud to work with new partners @SixSix to promote mental health well being in the workplace. Mental Health Nurses understand the impacts of COVID on the workplace, on families and on you. #LookOutForYourEmployees #mentalhealthnurse #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #InThisTogether2020
