23.01.2022 Wittle waskily wabbit came to us today after being surrendered by the owners who no longer wanted her. Sadly we don’t think she was treated really well to her reaction when going to pick her up. We have called her Georgia after the ranger that dropped her off, she is now living with our other sanctuary rabbits until she is ready for adoption #australiananimalrescue #rescuerabbit #rabbit #helpushelpthem #rabbits #rescuedwithlovemelbourne #bunnylove #donate Your support is paramount for their survival

20.01.2022 After a call from our wonderful volunteer Kym Mcclelland who had discovered these two lonely chickens at the side of a busy rd while walking the dog.. over the last few days Kym has been feeding them, of which she discovered they were starving and very thirsty but proving hard to catch as it is a very bushy area. Sharon and son Keaghan attended today and with the 3 of us coming from all around the bushy area to keep them from the road then Keags managed to rangle the two of them by climbing in... maybe a few scratches and prickles later but they are now safe away from predators and traffic and the Sancturary in Devon Meadow. Kym has been asking the neighbours but no one knows who would have owned them.

09.01.2022 Sometimes an angel gets called home. Tonight we share the sad news the Albert, Grommit, and little Wombles have all been called home last week. Grommit and Albert were brought into care as palliative care animals, and their carers gave them the best few weeks and months of their lives. We thank them, and you for your support and kindness. ... Little Wombles, was only with us a day, but loved deeply nonetheless. Her little heart was too weak. Vale , little ones. Till we meet on the bridge

07.01.2022 This morning we had a call from an 83 year old lady by the name of Brigette that’s cat had somehow injured it’s back leg and was not holding weight on it. She needed assistance getting it to a vet as she does not drive and her kids were working. A call to one of our lovely foster carer transporters Belinda who was able to help get the cat into a cage as Bridgette is also on blood thinners and can’t risk getting scratched and off to the Vet Bob at Ultimate Veterinary Clinic treated her and now both home safely.

02.01.2022 Introducing Ollie and Bear. Ollie (Black/White) - Bear (Tabby) They were born with Congenital Disabilities due to their leg bones not forming correctly. ... We at Australian Animal Rescue never give up on Animal's who need extra care and rehabilitation. Ollie is receiving extensive Physio, and is improving everyday, thanks to his amazing Foster Carer Isabella Petrelli. Due to Isabella's dedication and hard work, Ollie will live a great life, able to use his back legs, because he is strengthening his Muscles and learning to stand on them. Bear needs to have her leg amputated. Unfortunately her leg will become a hazard for her, because of the way it has grown. We have booked her in for her surgery in 4 weeks, and will keep you updated on her progress, and eventually her Adoption story, as she will be searching for her forever home once she recovers from her Surgery. If you are able to help Bear please Donate to her Surgery and Rehabilitation Fundraiser. Please share with Family and Friends, so we can try to raise as much as possible to help her. All Donations over $2 are Tax Deductible. Thank you, and stay Tuned...
