You must have been paid by our agency in the month of March this year, and also worked on a regular and systematic basis for a period of 12 months with us; . These payments also ...need to have been made by AB Dental & Medical, and not our clients. Where we have been seeking further clarification is on what regular and systematic work constitutes for our Temps. Due to the nature of Temp work we have candidates that have worked for us on a regular basis but they may not have been working set days and hours and may have taken breaks for study, travel or personal reasons. The information that we can share with you today is what is considered to be "Regular and systematic work" by the Government: What is employment on a regular and systematic basis? It is the employment that must be on a regular and systematic basis, not the hours worked. However, a clear pattern or roster of hours is strong evidence of regular and systematic employment. The term regular implies a repetitive pattern and does not mean frequent, often, uniform or constant. The term systematic requires that the engagement be something that could fairly be called a system, method or plan. Where there is no clear pattern or roster, evidence of regular and systematic employment can be established where: The employer offered suitable work when it was available at all times that the employee had made themselves available and; Work was offered and accepted regularly enough that it could no longer be regarded as occasional and irregular. The way we are interpreting this information is that those Temps who have been working for us for a period of 12 months prior to the 1st March should be eligible if they have been working for our agency when they have been available to work, not including anyone who may have had a lengthy break. So, we encourage people to contact us if they have been paid by AB Dental on a regular basis since 1st March 2019 and are not receiving government payment from another source; and also meet the other criteria as previously discussed in our newsletter.
