24.01.2022 The new beast in our composting process
23.01.2022 It's been a long hard year already with breakdowns and corona but glad to say we are finally back in production with our compost. 1st batch of the year laid out and turned today, approximately 4000m3 of soil goodness ready in about 12 weeks
20.01.2022 2nd turn and the new windrows cooking nicely and the new turner performing effortlessly
16.01.2022 Some paddock pics from our compost trials. This paddock had a dosing of compost at approximately 15m3/ha and then speed tilled into the soil for maximum benefit. For a low rainfall year the results are pretty good and the farmer appears happy with results so far. We will see what the total bale count comes in at to determine how it stacked up to previous year.
11.01.2022 Bulk waste removal, a lazy 100,000L transfered for the day
10.01.2022 Something different : boys out dam cleaning before the rains come

08.01.2022 Before and after pics of a customers lawn that got a top dressing of our high carbon soil conditioner. Great results for just 7days
07.01.2022 Quick scan over the paddock
06.01.2022 Once a dirty old neglected septic, now clean and ready to take all the you can throw at it. Servicing your septics every 3yrs prevents unwanted issues from arising suddenly and maintains balance in your system. While most think a service is expensive its actually cheaper than being on sewer
06.01.2022 Lately I've been asked numerous times ''how does a septic system work'' to be honest septics are quite complexed microbial systems but when maintained properly and looked after they can give years of hassle free treatment, but I'll give the easy version without all the science behind it? The purpose of a septic tank is to treat all waste water from your home i.e toilet, showers, sinks, laundry ect. It is usually located on the property somewhere and is made of concrete, more ...modern tanks are plastic and some systems are mini home treatment plants. A healthy septic tank should be able to be broken into 3rds and contains natural bacteria to digest and separate organic matter. The top 3rd commonly known as the crust is made up of suspended solids, fats, grease ect. This crust shouldn't exceed around 500mm thick. The bottom 3rd is broken down organic material and is known as the sludge layer and your middle 3rd should be waste water, this waste water is what gets transferred through the system into you leach field/drains. If either of the top or bottom 3rds is exceeded your tank requires a service. Servicing your system as per Dept of health recommendation every 3-5yrs maintains this healthy balance and prevents blockages and more commonly, leach failure which leads to expensive repair costs running into the thousands to refurbish or install new leach drains. There are many different types of sewage systems, a conventional leach based system discharges the liquid waste from the tank through a distribution box into perforated pipes located in a drainage field. If you have a distribution box it should be changed over twice a year as to not overload/saturate the soil around your leach drains. The perforated pipes or leach drains are designed to slowly release treated effluent into the soil for further microbial treatment before water eventually ends up back in the water table somewhere. Basically your tanks are filters for your leach drains. You wouldn't drive a vehicle forever and not service the filters, your tanks are no different. For inspection of your system or if it's been more than 3yrs since your last service please call us on 0419928026
06.01.2022 It's a job and sometimes you get a real doozy thrown in the mix. However it's always nice to get positive feedback from customers. Cheers Don
