24.01.2022 One of the greatest responsibilities we have as residents is to elect our government local, state + federal. This coming October, we each get the opportunity to fulfill this responsibility by voting for your local council. Over the next few weeks, you’ll be hearing from the candidates; some will be running for the first time + others will be seeking re-election. The best thing you can do for you + your family before voting is to be informed. So please take a moment to foll...ow me on Facebook + Instagram, to hear what my advocacy and priorities points will be for our great city the City of Melton. If you have any questions or would like more information, please feel free to get in contact with me.

17.01.2022 Following our recent use of recycled plastic in road resurfacing, we’re about to begin a trial using recycled tyre rubber to resurface roads! We received a $35,000 grant from Tyre Stewardship Australia to use crumb rubber, or shredded waste tyres, as a wearing course on some of our asphalt roads in West Melton. Using crumb rubber to resurface the roads will save us $100,000 in capital cost on the resurfacing projects and will have a lasting impact on the environment. ... #environment #sustainableconstruction #cityofmelton #recycledtyres Caroline Springs Residents Page

12.01.2022 " - " Earlier this year, I set out to create a safer environment for our families by phasing out glyphosate [a dangerous chemical] generally used in weedkiller around sensitive areas such as kindergartens, community centres, schools, maternal and child health centres. I put forward this motion in May 2020 and it was carried. We can now look forward to the phasing out of this product and investing in other weeding options that will protect our families & the environment.
10.01.2022 COVID-19 Update: Melbourne Victorians won't have to wear masks outdoors from midnight tonight, under a relaxation of rules announced by Premier Daniel Andrews. Other changes include increasing patronage at indoor gyms from 20 to 150 and weddings and funerals will soon be allowed to have 150 attendees depending on the venue size. The same goes for restaurants, cafes, bars and cinemas with up to 150 allowed indoors, and 200 outdoors. However, only 50 people will be allowed inside smaller venues.
