They performed a number of dances, including a Celebration of Country "shake a leg style". Featuring Owen Whyman on the didgeridoo and Brendon Adams on the clap sticks.... Wilcannia's Mission Camps and cultural places have been gazetted as a recognised and protected Aboriginal Place after two years consultation with the Aboriginal Land Council and locals.

14.01.2022 With the Victorian border opened first thing Monday morning, residents in far west New South Wales have rejoiced at seeing spouses and family members again after months of separation. Carol Nicolson, who has worked in Mildura the last seven years while her husband, parents, children and grandchildren have lived in Broken Hill, finally reunited with her husband this morning. She said her husband had driven through the night to be with her in Mildura once the border restrictions had been eased.

10.01.2022 A new report looking at a number of health, educational, and social indicators for Indigenous children and young people in far-west New South Wales has shown improvements in some areas but a decline in others. While improvements have been observed in immunisation rates and children attending school, the report shows that the rate of smoking in pregnancy for young Aboriginal people in the region is more than nine times higher than the rest of the state population.

09.01.2022 Broken Hill’s biggest race meet will go ahead in 2021. Racing NSW has allocated a race date of Saturday 13th March to the Club. Tickets will be strictly limited in order to meet COVID-19 requirements, and must be pre-purchased. All patrons will be required to abide by the COVID-19 safety plans set out.
