24.01.2022 We welcomed a new little girl today. We’ve broken our no naming until 2 weeks old rule and named her Melody. Melody was born with a cleft palate, her legs are twisted and she’s missing some fur. Due to the above we have every finger and toe crossed that everything else formed correctly and she can thrive! ... For now she eats, snuggles and keeps warm.

24.01.2022 Late yesterday we welcomes 2 new babies into our team! We haven’t yet got names for them but that will come. Do you want to have a guess what breed they are?

24.01.2022 Our adorable Blaize’s adoption didn’t work out so she is back looking for her perfect forever ever family! Miss Blaize is a 6 year old Female Yorkshire Terrier. Blaize is a bite size bundle of joy. She is a cuddle monster and wants for nothing but to cuddle up with her humans on the couch. ... Blaize is not for the faint hearted though as this bite size rocket loooooves nothing more than chasing her ball/toy around. She would literally do it for 20 hours a day! If Blaize isn’t chasing a ball She follows her foster Ma around the house like a bad smell always making sure she is never missing a moment of the action, or cuddled up on her lap! Blaize is good with other dogs and enjoys the company of her furry foster sibling as well as her little human foster sister as well. Blaize has a few must haves in her new family, so please only send through an application if you tick all the boxes! Children over 10 years of age. Another dog that is a small breed. No horse like doggies please. A family that will have Blaize as an inside dog, with outside access. But Blaize should never be locked outside. If you tick the boxes and would like to add out girl to your family please head to www.abcrescue.com.au and complete an adoption application! Her adoption fee is $1500. Those who don’t meet the requirements may not get an email reply.

19.01.2022 This week, the last week of 2020, we had the most surrenders that we’ve had in a long time since COVID. We have amazing carers that have had a much needed break and ready to hit 2021 with a bang. We welcomed, Winnie, Mia, Emmy, Bronson, Cody, and Petey. All will be introduced over the following few days. First Miss Happy! Miss Happy is kennel number 29665, this girl was found on the 23rd of December and spent her Christmas in the pound she is young, sweet and the most ador...able girl! We are just going to get to know our girl before naming her but the New Year is going to be very different from the last. Excuse the photos, a happy girl, one person and a phone camera doesn’t make for awesome photography

17.01.2022 We had this post scheduled for yesterday to ask for your help for Butters, we really are desperately in need of a cash boost in order to get this surgery done for Butters but as if that were not enough, today more disaster hit. Please keep reading. Here we go again ... WE ARE DESPERATELY NEEDING HELP TO MAKE BUTTERS LIFE SO MUCH EASIER.... As quick as he’s healed, he’s back needing surgery again! Butters is desperate to have his cleft palate repaired, usually not something we rush into but for the past week and most recently the last 3 consecutive days, Butters has had sneezing fits resulting in blood noses. Originally Butters sneezing was from him sticking his nose where it wasn’t wanted and was quickly cleared with a sneeze and a drink but now it’s so much worse! Butters refuses to let us touch his mouth, let alone open it and see what’s going on up there, he gets so distressed and his screams are horrific. The only option to help Butters is to clean is cleft under a general anaesthetic and close it over so this doesn’t ever happen again, whilst he’s under for this we are going to desex him at the same time so we don’t have to anaesthetise him again. We need to raise $1500 in order for the above procedures to go ahead, we are booked in next week, but with the bills mounting and Christmas coming soon we need to raise the funds before we can. As quick as we scheduled we woke up to our tiny babies unwell!!!! Our little ones have contracted hook worm. Kendall has gone downhill, and fast. She was admitted to intensive care immediately for urgent treatment and as we all know; this does not come cheap. We are crossing our fingers that she will pull through this, but we are also a little worried that Lava is looking a bit off colour and flat as well, we are hoping that she does not also go downhill, and that we have caught it in time, but we are being vigilant and are prepared for the worst scenario that she will need to be admitted too. We are looking at potentially $200 per day for treatment for Kendall and of course the same for Lava if she does indeed go downhill also. PLEASE HELP, WE HAVEN’T GONE THROUGH SOMETHING LIKE THIS IN SO LONG, WHERE SO MANY OF OUR BABIES REQUIRE SUCH EXTENSIVE CARE AT SUCH A COST. If you can help, even by donating $5, this would be hugely appreciated. You can help by donating to: PayPal - [email protected] Or Commonwealth Bank of Australia ALL BREEDS CANINE RESCUE bsb 064184 account 10966084 Ref: Butters and Kendall Or Using the link below Purchase an ABC 2021 Calendar. (Butters is Mr December) All funds go back into helping canines just like Butters. https://abcrescue.com.au//abc-r/products/abc-2021-calendar

16.01.2022 Our beautiful sweet and affectionate Jemma is looking for a foster family! Unfortunately Jemma’s carer isn’t working out, Jemma needs a family with no other dogs, a family that will have her inside/outside! Jemma is a 10 year old and very healthy German Shepherd, she loves to laze around and relax with her humans, she does love a shirt walk a day to keep her stimulated but let’s definitely not over do it. ... Jemma would love a family with no other dogs, those stinking things just get in her bubble. If you think you can offer your heard and home to a furry friend in need, please head to www.abcrescue.com.au and complete a fostering application.

Local Matters is the Grill'd community donation program that sees each Grill'd restaurant donate $500 back into the community every month. The donation is split between 3 local community groups $300 / $100 / $100.... HOW YOU CAN HELP? We'd love your support in receiving the highest $300 donation! Simply head to Grill'd Browns Plains during September for a burger and pop your Local Matters token in our jar. The group with the most tokens at the end of the month receives the largest donation. It's a simple (and delicious) way to show your support! You'll find us on a jar at Grill'd Browns Plains, Grill'd Brown Plains Shop GF079 27-49 Browns Plains Rd Browns Plains.

16.01.2022 We want to see Our Nana Makana grow up big, strong and beautiful! cos god we love her. Our darling girl was diagnosed with a PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus). A PDA is a nasty heart defect that occurs when the ductus arteriosus fails to close down at birth. This vessel runs from the aorta to the pulmonary artery. At birth, the vessel should close within hours, directing blood to flow into the newly inflated lungs, however this did not happen for Makana. The cardiologist hav...e told us due to the severity of Makana’s condition, she will need surgery to repair her heart as soon as possible or we will lose her. We need to raise $5,000 for Makana’s heart surgery to ensure she is able to grow up big and strong and live a happy fulfilled life. Nana is booked in for major heart surgery in just 2 days! Just $5 from each and every one of you would help get us over the line. It’s just the cost of your next cup of coffee but one that will save her life. Please help, donate now: https://fundraise.giveeasy.org/camp/please-help-our-makana/ Or PayPal - [email protected]

Ivy is now home and resting with her little ones, we will update you with everything soon.

13.01.2022 Try to get a nice photo of Makana while she’s chilling and this is the face I get Miss Makana is such a darling!

13.01.2022 Last week our 3 musketeers went in to get some teeth removed! Lava, Ebony and Kendall all were based narrow, which means there two bottom k9’s were anchored into the roof of their mouth, they had a short anaesthetic and had their bottom teeth removed, this will hopefully help with the movement and growth of their adult teeth! All three girls were so brave and recovered so well.

13.01.2022 Over the Christmas period we got to head away and spend some time with one of our special friends Barbara. Now I’m sure some of you remember this meme, or the hilarious video of William meeting Barbara and Eddy and getting sniffed and head butted to the but a few times. This time round Barbara is some what older and greyer, she has lost her best mate Eddy (pictured at the front by horse attack) and has since decided she wants to be a goat. So Our William couldn’t visit prope...rly as we feared the goats would try and kill him We did however get lots of pats and cuddles from the Barbara herself

12.01.2022 For the month of September, we have been selected as one of the participants in the Grill’d Local Matters Jars, at their Browns Plains store (inside Grand Plaza food court). This is an easy process for you to participate in by just enjoying a meal at Grill’d. You will be given a token for every burger that you purchase, and then you can put that token into one of three jars that each represent a charity. At the end of the month, the tokens are counted and the charity with the most tokens is awarded $300. The other two participants will receive $100 each. We are hoping you can help us achieve the most tokens for the month of September to win the $300. Grill’d have an incredibly yummy menu with lots of different dishes to choose from, and we are sure you can find one to hit the spot whilst doing your bit to help our rescue doggos.

12.01.2022 As Christmas comes close to an end our darling Cupid has been admitted! Originally when coming off Mum he was doing well, but today has been the worst, he was refusing to eat or drink and has seizured! He has been admitted for intensive care and work up. (sadly going back on mum is not an option.) Please keep our young boy in your thoughts as you finish your Christmas Day! Our tiny boy needs all the prayers he can get.

11.01.2022 This adorable girls surgery is coming closer and closer. We want to thank you all so much for your donations so far, this is such an amazing result. We are sadly though still a long way off. If you can donate please do, otherwise please share with your friends and family. ... HELP DONATIONS NEEDS PLEASE SHARE We need your help. Please help us, help Makana make it to her First Birthday. This sweet little lady is a 4month old Southern Cross Bulldog who recently joined our rescue due to sadly being diagnosed with Patent Ductus Arteriosus, aka PDA. A PDA is a nasty heart defect that occurs when the ductus arteriosus fails to close down at birth. In the fetus, this vessel is normal and allows blood to bypass the lungs since the lungs are not used during development in the uterus. This vessel runs from the aorta to the pulmonary artery. At birth, the vessel should close within hours, directing blood to flow into the newly inflated lungs, however this did not happen for Makana. Sadly this causes Makana to struggle with her breathing and despite being a young puppy, she can get tired playing and needs to be rested to ensure she doesn’t exude herself. The cardiologist have told us due to the severity of Makana’s condition, she will need surgery to repair her heart as soon as possible or we will lose her. It's touch and go for her and we can’t let her struggle like this. We need to raise $5,000 for Makana’s heart surgery to ensure she is able to grow up big and strong and live a happy fulfilled life. Just $5 from each and every one of you would help get us over the line. It’s just the cost of your next cup of coffee but one that will save her life. Makana is booked in for surgery on the 29th of September so we don’t have long to raise these funds. Makana is counting on us. Please donate now: https://fundraise.giveeasy.org/camp/please-help-our-makana/ Or PayPal - [email protected]
