22.01.2022 Residents thoroughly enjoyed cooking a delicious Dutch pea and ham soup in the coffee shop this afternoon. With two Dutch resident Josephien and Joan assisting it will be yummy. Big smiles from ear to ear. The smell would have been amazing. Enjoy!!!

18.01.2022 The Lifestyle Team (Katja and Janina) are super excited with their brand new office. New flooring, new coat of paint, new desks, two new sets of draws and blinds. They no longer have to share the one desk. Wished they had done it years ago.... A massive big thank you to the maintenance team (George and Gus) for the make over the gals are very thankful. Pictured below is Gus doing the painting.

18.01.2022 We have run our monthly competition of Carpet Bowling for the month of November. The competition was held each Monday afternoon with 19 competitors. Congratulations to all competitors for giving it a go and turning up weekly. It was a popular game. Robert came first with winning 5 rounds. Kel came second in 4th place. Rita, Irena and Natalie came equally in 3rd place. Harry, Clinical Care Manager handed out the certificates.... The next competition will commence in January with the golf competition. So rest up and see you in the New Year.

18.01.2022 Such a wonderful idea by the famous Dutch Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam to exhibit a replica of the famous Dutch painting from Rembrandt called the Nachtwacht in Dutch aged care homes.

17.01.2022 We recently celebrated Peng's birthday and he had the most amazing smile from ear to ear and lit up the room. Lots of birthday wishes Peng and keep on smiling!!!

15.01.2022 Meet the art teacher Kel and his first art student Effie here at the Village. It started with a drawing and the next step was to paint it. Effie framed it for Kel and presented it to him and he was overjoyed. Thank you Effie for this amazing gift!!! Effie receives art lessons each Thursday morning.

10.01.2022 Paul Leventhal entertained us with his amazing classical guitar skills this morning for our monthly birthday party. It was a nice way to finish of this huge month.

10.01.2022 Introducing Rick (PCA) who is not only a wonderful singer and has now performed twice at the village but has also been taking incredible photos of residents such as Edith, Stacey and Corrie in the garden and the amazing photos of the "Spa" session in Camellia. Thank you Rick!!!

10.01.2022 A big happy birthday to Antonetta who turned 97 today. She was very keen to get stuck into her yummy birthday cake with delicious custard in the middle that her lovely family brought over. They also brought over their cute little dog to enable Antoinette to have cuddles.

07.01.2022 A very famous Dutch soccer player called Johan Cruyff had an amazing career. He was born in Amsterdam and travelled all over the world. He was also an amazing coach. He died very young at the age of 68.... He founded a foundation in The Netherlands encouraging children to play sport. A wonderful legacy. 06.01.2022 Residents enjoyed making pie taquitos and will now be added to the summer menu.

06.01.2022 Our monthly in-house competition was Tenpin Bowling for the month of September and there were 10 competitors. We held a special presentation and certificates were handed to each resident by Sophia the General Manager. The overall winner was Albert who competed each week with a total score of 215 and he received the Tenpin Bowling trophy. A big congratulation to all competitors. You all gave it a go and each session was 10 rounds like normal bowling. A special mention to Rob...ert who was a great assistant in collecting balls for each competitor. For the month of October we will run a Golf competition using the new golf game. Robert is hoping to defend his title.

05.01.2022 A lovely gesture from our General Manager Sophia for organising an R U OK get together for the staff at our village. It was very much appreciated.

04.01.2022 Colin was thrilled to receive a beautiful refurbished chest of draws from Effie. She worked very hard on this project and it looks amazing. Colin is very happy to be able to use this for extra storage. Thank you Effie!!
