13.01.2022 Well, it was mixed results for the club in the Upper Hunter preliminary finals. The 1's bowed out of the B grade finals after losing to Belltrees, this was a hard fought match after the boys bowled Belltrees out for 102. Cameron French 4/18, Garry Latham 3/12 & Nev Givney 3/18 were the main wicket takers. The 1's in reply struggled with the bat, being dismissed for 72. Garry Latham 26 & Edan Tickle 20 were the pick of the batters. The 2's seeked revenge after last season disa...ppointment in the finals, as they rolled Rouchel to advanced to the A grade Grand Final agianst Warriors. The 2's batted first & started solid with Andrew Hill (35) & Jeremy Smith(27) opening partnership of 57, but the wickets started to fall in intervals. The 2's stumbled to be all out 145. Rob Bennett also batted well for 37. Rouchel in reply struggled with the bat as the 2's bowled very tight & dismissing Rouchel for 109. Manu Sharma 2/11, Nick Crackett 2/13 & Ben Crackett 2/26 were the main wicket takers. Well Done to the 2's for making the A grade Grand Final, it's been a long time since Aberdeen has won A grade. We hope we can get alot of supporters to Saunders Oval Scone to cheer the boys on. Best of Luck boys. Too the 1's, the boys played well throughout the season unfortunate that we fell short to make it a successful season for the club. Keep your heads up & look forward to next season, but before we do that lets cheer the 2's on to win the A grade grand final. See more

08.01.2022 Today the rain held off in the B Grade major semi at Aberdeen. The 1's won the toss & elected to bat agianst Bunnan on a sticky wicket. Bunnan bowled tight, at drinks Aberdeen were 2/28. It looked like Aberdeen were going to be dismissed for a low score, but Garry Latham(47) & Bailey Cullen(28) put on another 60+ run partnership to give Aberdeen a respectable score. Aberdeen finish their 40 overs for 7/132. A short shower pasted through during the change of innings, which di...dn't disturb both teams as Bunnan began their chase. Aberdeen bowled tight collecting wickets early until Mike Soper(40) & Pete Ashford(30) 68 run partnership got Bunnan close to the score. Once Aberdeen picked up their wickets it was still anyones match. Bunnan won the match by 2 wickets with 6 overs spare. Those who bowled well were Matt Brabants 3/23, Bailey Cullen 2/27 & Edan Tickle 2/44. Head up boys got another game to play before the Grand Final, gotta win next week. See more

06.01.2022 Today’s Fixtures: Aberdeen 1 vs Murrurundi @ Aberdeen No.1 Sportsground Aberdeen 2 vs Belltrees Bushrangers @ Beltress After an excellent bowling performance from the 1’s last week, they are looking to continue their form and remain unbeaten. ... Whereas the 2s are looking to bounce back after a disappointing result last week. And notch up their second win of the season.

04.01.2022 What a weekend of cricket, both teams were washed out halfway through their matches. Aberdeen 1 were up against a determined Rouchel side. The 1s batted first & were all out for 118. Rouchel only batted 7 overs until the storm arrived & washed the match out. The 2s all so had the same fate, as they batted first & was all out for 140. Bunnan only batted 3 overs until the storm affected the match as well. So each team recieved a draw, it's still anyones race to the finals as we're only 4 points behind the top team. This weekend Aberdeen 2 play hosts to Bulls 1 who sit on top of the ladder, so a win here will put them on level points. So best of luck boys. Aberdeen 1 travel to Scone to play against Bunnan, a pressure match here, so the boys need to be on their game with this one. So best of luck boys & come home with a victory.

03.01.2022 As another cricket season is fast approaching, online registration is now open. Just follow the link below.

01.01.2022 Aberdeen hosted Belltrees in the first game back of the season and after a hard fought match it came down to the wire with Aberdeen winning by 5 wickets with only 2 overs to go. Whereas, Aberdeen 2 are still awaiting their first game after a bye. Belltrees won the toss and elected to bat with Hayden Quinlivan (89) and Ben McRae (51) helping them along to a total of 209. The pick of the Aberdeen bowlers was: Brad Baker- 3/29 off 8... Nathan Connor- 3/29 off 7.1 Edan Tickle- 2/26 off 6 Jeremy Smith- 1/48 off 8 Caleb Mcneill- 1/41 off 6 Aberdeen then had a shaky start to their innings with Jezza going early. However, Andrew Hill (53), Caleb Mcneill (52) and Captain Brandon Parkinson (50*) all batted brilliantly with some help from Nathan Connor (15), Rob Bennett (13) and Edan Tickle (13*) who helped Aberdeen get the job done. Next week is the grudge match with both teams eager to get the win and more importantly bragging rights at training. We would all love to see some support down at Jefferson and the game will be absolutely marvellous as always.

01.01.2022 What a final 2 weeks it has been for the club. We'll start with the local derby a fortnight ago where both teams were level pegging on the ladder, who ever won would secure a A grade final place. It started with Aberdeen 1 winning the toss & elected to bat. Aberdeen 2 started well with the ball getting Nathan Connor out early & kept bowling tight making it hard for the 1's to score runs. The 1's look like they would be dimissed for another low score until Garry Latham & Baile...y Cullen came together at the crease, puting a quick 60 run partnership & giving the 1's a competitive total of 7/148 off their 40 overs. The 2's struggled with the bat too, as the 1's bowled tight as well. The 1's look like they had the upper hand until Manu Sharma joined Nick Crackett at the crease, the tide started to turn as Manu scored a quick 30 in a 50 run partnership. It came down to the last over the 2's only needed 2 runs & in came Brad Baker who hit the winning runs for the 2's. So we come to this weekend where the 2's needed to win to cement a A grade finals placing against Belltrees. Aberdeen 2 won the toss & elect to bat. Aberdeen lost an early wicket. Jeremy Smith & Brandon Parkinson put on another big second wicket partnership of 120 runs, setting the platform for a big total. Aberdeen finished their 40 overs with 5/211, Jeremy Smith scored his highest score for the season 90 runs. In reply Belltrees was no match for Aberdeen being dismissed for 175. Now this meant that the 2's needed the 1's to defeat Warriors to finish minor premiers. Aberdeen 1 travelled to Scone with 10 players to cause an upset. Warriors won the toss & elect to bat. The 1's stunned the Warriors by collecting early wickets. Garry Latham 3/19 & Nathan Connor 4/20 saw the Warriors all out for 154. The 1's struggled to score runs until Daniel Hoogerwerf came in & blasted a quick 45. It came to the last over the 1's only needed 10 runs for victory, but fell 7 runs short. So, the club had the 2's finished in second & will be in the A grade major semi, while the 1's finished in fifth & host the B grade major semi. We hope that both teams would make the Grand Finals this up coming weekend, so best of luck to both teams. See more
