17.01.2022 Thank you for your support in 2020... it’s been a big year... I’ve loved meeting lots of new families. It’s been a year when I’ve seen amazing resilience amongst the Mummas I’ve met and supported in both virtual and face to face consults. I’m always in awe of how strong and brave new Mums are, sometimes in the most challenging of times, this year more so than ever, when many have found themselves navigating the most transformative phase of their lives with...out all their usual support network around. Looking forward to meeting more Mums & babies in 2021! #Lactationsupport #breastfeeding #breastfeedingeducation #learningtofeed #ibclc #preparingforbreastfeeding #feedingbaby #lactationconsultant #reachoutforhelp #newmum2020 #preparingforbaby #breastfeedingsupport #lactationsupport #breastfeedingadvocate #breastfeedingjourney #newborn #postpartumsupport #normalizebreastfeeding #breastfeedingadvocate See more

15.01.2022 Breastfeeding when you have other children already! This can be a challenge! Here’s some tips! ... ~ expect some healthy curiosity at first, explain in simple terms what is happening and remind them this is how you fed them! ~ let them snuggle up with you while you feed, if they want to, they might need some extra reassurance now there’s someone new around. ~ set them up with a drink or snack to have as you feed. ~ make it story time for everyone. ~ have a basket of toys set aside just for feed time. . Let them sit and play or draw/colour do a sticker book, close by, so you can chat together. ~ watch a children’s TV show together. ~ if they are old enough, engage them by trying to get them to help you, passing things and maybe role playing with dolls or teddies. ~ be sure to maintain some of your normal rituals with your older one & carve out some one on one time with them when baby sleeps. You are doing a great job Mumma! It’s not easy... some days will go better than others & that’s ok. #familylife #siblings #parenthood #newbaby2020 #breastfeeding #lactationsupport #supportformum #breastfeedingsupport #busymum #breastfeedinghelp #juggling #easternsuburbsmums #Ibclc #mumlife #lactationconsultant See more

13.01.2022 So ...2020 threw some crazy and challenging things our way. But if it brought you a baby or babies, then it is a year you will never forget for all the right reasons. Happy first Christmas to all the 2020 babies and to all of you that became parents this year too, whether it was your 1st baby or your 4th... the celebration will be that bit sweeter this Christmas as you cuddle your new family member ! #babyin2020 #firstchristmas #breastfeeding #brandnewbaby #lactationsupport #babylove #merrychristmas

12.01.2022 Newborns need to be held. You are nourishment, comfort and connection. You are his safe place while he learns to make sense of this big new world. It’s ok to cuddle a newborn to sleep, it’s ok to breastfeed to sleep, there are no rules. ... Enjoy! #babylove #fourthtrimester #newbaby #breastfeeding #lactationsupport #newbaby2020 #newmum @sophieleaphotography See more

12.01.2022 There are lots of constructive ways people can support you when you are the only who can actually feed the baby! Share this with your cheer squad. ~ Words of affirmation, those around you validating , thanking & acknowledging you for the amazing thing you are doing for your little one ~ Physical touch, a shoulder massage at the end of day, a hug, but equally respecting that you might feel touched out after a day of feeding... ~ Acts of Service, bringing treats or better still dinner, offering to help around the house, changing, winding or holding baby so you can do what you need to for yourself. ~ Quality time, recognizing that you need time to regroup, do things for yourself, take a long shower or take a walk on your own and helping you to make this happen. . #Lactationsupport #breastfeeding #breastfeedingeducation #learningtofeed #ibclc #preparingforbreastfeeding #feedingbaby #lactationconsultant #reachoutforhelp #newmum2020 #preparingforbaby #breastfeedingsupport #lactationsupport #breastfeedingadvocate #breastfeedingjourney #newborn #postpartumsupport #normalizebreastfeeding #breastfeedingadvocate See more

06.01.2022 Becoming a parent is such a huge transformation in your life, baby and Mum are both learning new roles. Be kind to yourself. Your baby already adores you, he definitely does not need perfection. You are already just that.
