23.01.2022 Dr. Kim Pedlow will be conducting an advanced point of care obstretric ultrahsound workshop with biophysical profile which will be suitable for obstetric doctors and more advanced midwives on Friday 17th October at St John of God Hospital Training Centre, between 2pm and 8pm.

22.01.2022 Our collaborative approach includes midwives, nurses, physiotherapists and doctors of various capacity and learning needs. Our aim is to enable exchange of ideas and skills, break down professional silos and encourage a team ethos. We aim to make our midwife attendees WACHS assessment ready.

22.01.2022 An information session on learning difficulties and ADHD will be held at the Beachlands Primary School on Monday 13th of October at 2pm and facilitated by Dr. Kim Pedlow, Chairman of The Abrolhos Group.

20.01.2022 GREAT NEWS The Abrolhos Group is a not-for-profit organisation, based in Geraldton, which was incorporated in June 2014. We achieved Public Benevolent Institution status 11/11/15. This means that all donations are tax deductible. The group was formed by Dr Kim Pedlow and his wife Annie, who recognised that there were a number of gaps in the services and support available here in the Midwest and in other regional areas in Western Australia, and saw the potential for a not-for-profit group to try to fill some of those gaps. Kim and Annie then sought other board members for the group. The Abrolhos Group was incorporated as a not-for-profit association in June 2014.

17.01.2022 We run free midwife point of care obstetric ultrasound workshops. Doctors are charged with all proceeds going to the Abrolhos group to assist with further training, support of orphanages in Cambodia and Zimbabwe, Timor and Vietnam. Thanks to our Geraldton instructors midwife Rhonda Bradley, Dr Batsi, Dr James Quirke, Dr Arvind Menon and Abrolhos Group helpers Jackie Donnelly, Nat Holmes and Josie Lawrence. Broome instructors Lynette Hassell (ultrasonographer Sonosite) They donate their expertise free of charge. Also to SJOGH Geraldton, WACHS, Dr Sara Armitage and Michael O’Hara Sonosite for their ongoing support. Convenor Kim Pedlow
