15.01.2022 Lithium testing is going well. We did a typical 24 hr test. Compressor fridge and 2 lights on for 24 hours then toaster, kettle and coffee machine for breakfast (one at a time and average 1500W to 2000W in the inverter). The state of charge and battery voltage was very good. Solar kicked in and topped up the battery quickly.

09.01.2022 For those looking at lithium beware of packs using small cells below 150A, cells can't be discharged higher than the cell capacity. (1c). There are sellers offering packs with outputs of 150, 200, 300 amps. You need a cell of 300A to be able to provide 300A power. For instance our lithium pack uses 280ah cells so that is the max draw you can take from the cell. (BMS must be rated for this). Here is a pack assembled with 80ah cells. Claiming it can run a 3000W inverter and balance all 16 cells. This is all false as they are using a 4s BMS which means they have 4 cells connected to one string and they cant balance properly and 80ah cells, 3000W inverters will draw 250A so this setup is not going to work as advertised. Our packs will be ready soon, don't rush into these cheap options.

08.01.2022 Lithium test, 2 days running compressor fridge topped up with solar.

07.01.2022 Excited :-) our new BMS has arrived. Now i can finish my design. 280ah LiFePo4 200A continuous, with bluetooth. This pack at 280ah is equiv. to 450ah of AGM and 27kg v/s 120kg. Charges at max current until full, so many advantages over AGM. Message us for advance orders and delivery details. Cells are by sea freight and expecting initial stock to be sold before it arrives.

06.01.2022 Some exciting news ! We are developing a LiFePo4 battery pack to fit in our grey power pack boxes. Initial test and prototypes will be 280Ah LiFePo4 running 4 cells. Bluetooth BMS and 150A continuous current draw for those big inverters. More updates to follow soon on sizes and pricing. Current specs will be: 12.8V (4x 3.2V 280ah)... 280Ah 21KG Max charge current. 150A Max discharge current 150A (800A 5 seconds - 400A for 25 sec) Charge voltage 13.8V to 14.6V Bluetooth App. (Android and Apple) See more

06.01.2022 I have been asked about the heavy loads and what they are. I run a 3000w inverter. Values from left to right... 8am. 2200w kettle, Nespreso coffee machine and microwave to heat milk. 9.30am. Coffee again and 4 slice toaster. (All for 2 people so 2 cups each time, each.) As you can see the solar was already working well from early and sytem went to float around 11.30am.

06.01.2022 First 2 days of 6 free camping at Sandstone Park. Our new ABR-SIDEWINDER lithium pack hardly feels the load. This is running coffee machine, microwave, kettle and hair-dryer each morning. Inverter is on running laptop and ryobi chargers too. Fridge is a compressor type. Lithium great bit of kit.

04.01.2022 Our 280ah Lithium packs are being assembled. 2 ready for immediate delivery. It starts with balancing the cells (photo 1). Once balanced and cycled we fit the cells using fibreglass tape and an alloy frame plus foam (photo 2). We then install the BMS (photo 3). Next we fit the lid with fuses, anderson plugs, cigar socket, LED status lamps and the M8 main outlets. (photo 4). Last we program the BMS to suit typical Australian camping conditions plus cycle the pack again as a final test. (photo 5). If you have specific needs we can program the BMS for you.

04.01.2022 Were heading off to Sandstone Park to do some lithium testing.

03.01.2022 At last, cells have cleared customs and arrived. We can now start assembly of our 280ah packs.

03.01.2022 Final testing on our 280Ah Lithium pack has been completed and all parts for production run have been sourced. Total weight for 280Ah pack is 25.5kg. Continuous output out is 200A which will run an inverter at 2600W continuous draw for kettles, toasters, microwaves, hairdryers etc. Continuous charge rate is 100A. We hope to have them assembled by the end of October, pre-orders are welcome and recommended as first order is limited. Screen shot is the bluetooth app showing a 1600W heat gun running off an inverter 139.9A draw on the pack.
