25.01.2022 This Samson obviously loves a bit of human interaction its been caught, tagged, released, re caught, released then re caught and released again all at Greenly Island.

24.01.2022 The Samson Fish have been in good numbers this season with fish ranging from as small as 3 kilo up to around 26 kilo in size. These brutes certainly had the lads grunting and groaning.

24.01.2022 What better way to celebrate catching your first Samson Fish than with a mighty chunder. I knew it was on the cards when his face turned the same colour as the fish. Thankfully Jack powered through and fished hard until the end of the session.

23.01.2022 A few pics from our recent delivery trip to Coffin Bay. Plenty of fish and more importantly the new Cummins engines performed perfectly.

22.01.2022 Looks like the Kingfish have heard about how our fisheries are so poorly managed in this state and hightailed it to NSW. This is the fourth recapture of a Hummocks tagged fish in the Jervois Bay region this season. Some very interesting data developing thanks to NSW Fisheries Tagging Program and all the anglers involved. Fish was re-released after recapture.

21.01.2022 The lads from Complete Angler at Wallaroo had been waiting since August 2018 for this years trip after suffering a cancellation last season and by all reports they agreed it was worth the wait. Rocky turned it on with some thumping Samsons as did the big lump wide of Greenly. A special mention must go to Grant for sharing his breathtaking insights into animal husbandry.

I know our interstate clients will un...derstand my cautious approach to next years bookings and I look forward to getting back to normal for 2022. 11.01.2022 "We want to catch fish that hurt us" the lads said when I first met them on the wharf prior to departure. Hurt them we did. With around 65 Kings and Samsons for the trip along with some Tuna, Sharks and Groper predominantly caught whilst jigging the boys certainly got a good workout on their first trip aboard "Reel Therapy" Thanks to Tommy Long Toes, Ralph, Jack, Dyllan, Pete and the two Pattos for an incredibly funny, enjoyable, entertaining and easy trip. You guys just got it right from the start and we really hope to see you again next year. Ryan and Gary.

08.01.2022 Some Absolute brutes gave the boys a good touch up last trip so it was nice to see what was doing the damage. Even after 15 years chasing these fish it still blows me away how powerful they are.

05.01.2022 LIVE ABOARD SEASON UPDATE In light of the recent Covid-19 cases in South Australia and the closure of the state borders Absolute Fishing Charters has decided to cancel our remaining five live aboard charters of the 2020 Coffin Bay season. This decision was one not only based on interstate travel restrictions but on moral obligations to my crew, my local suppliers and our host town Coffin Bay. I felt by introducing more capital city based visitors into this small regional to...wn I would be increasing the risk (even though very small) of a viral transmission. Our customers will receive full refunds and a guarantee of a spot on next years season. Thank you to all our customers for your support year after year and we look forward to inflicting more of that special kind of pain you guys come back for next year. 03.01.2022 Getting some great results back for the effort we put in tagging and releasing our Kingfish. This fish certainly had the travel bug.

02.01.2022 Couldnt have asked for a better start to our 2020 live aboard season than we just had on trip 1. Big schools of jig hungry Samsons on most of the drops and enough Kings to keep everyone on their toes. We were even fortunate enough to find a heap of Samsons in shallow water and had them leaping clean out of the water chasing jigs. Thanks Dave, Paul, Olav, Callum, Elliot and Oscar for a great effort jigging. A very enjoyable charter.
