07.01.2022 **CORONAVIRUS UPDATE 23/03/20** Following announcements from both the Federal and Victorian Governments and further clarity from the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA), we wish to confirm that our clinic currently remains open. The APA has confirmed:... "The APA has received the following advice from the Federal Minister for Health, The Hon Greg Hunt: The Australian Minister for Health has today confirmed that ALL allied health businesses can continue working and are encouraged to do so. The APA continues to monitor this changing situation closely and will provide you with advice and guidance as it becomes available." While we continue to stay open we take the hygiene and social distancing recommendations by the government VERY SERIOUSLY and we will be implementing the following measures to comply with their advice: - We will DENY treatment for any patient who is experiencing flu like symptoms, has recently travelled overseas, or has come into contact with a confirmed case of Coronavirus COVID-19. - All patients MUST sanitise their hands on arrival and STRICTLY obey the social distance markers in place - Waiting room arrangements have been altered to comply with social distancing guidelines - To comply with the 1 person per 4 squared metre guidelines our treatment rooms will be limited to to one therapist and one patient. Should a patient present to the clinic with accompanying person(s) they will be required to remain in the waiting room. - NO CASH OR CHEQUE PAYMENTS. We will be encouraging all payments be made using the tap and go option where possible. Whilst we have implemented these measures within the clinic we do expect all patients, for the sake of their own safety and for the safety of others, to maintain the highest level of compliance with hygiene and social distancing recommendations AT ALL TIMES. To ensure we can provide continuity of care in these uncertain times, we are currently exploring all options that may be available for patients including Telehealth and Phone consultations. 06.01.2022 COVID-19 - REMEDIAL MASSAGE The Victorian Government recently announced that Massage services are considered non-essential and therefore need to cease. This includes Remedial Massage. Unfortunately for our Remedial Massage Therapist Mark and his abundance of loyal clients, our Remedial Massage services are unavailable. The governing body for massage in Australia has also advised that this restriction will remain in place for a number of months.... If you have an upcoming appointment scheduled with Mark a member of our admin team will contact you in the coming days to provide notification.

04.01.2022 WE ARE OPEN - STAGE 3 RESTRICTIONS Following recent government advice around Stage 3 COVID Restrictions we wish to advise that we are currently still open for both Physio and Remedial Massage services. While face-to-face appointments are still available we continue to offer Virtual and Phone Physio consultations should you prefer.... We continue to implement all recommended hygiene and social distancing practices and request our patients comply with all hygiene directives which now includes the mandatory wearing of face masks. For the ongoing protection of our staff and wider community PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND if you are feeling unwell or have come into contact with a known COVID case. RAPID CONSULTATIONS We get bombarded with calls and questions on a Monday morning but because we are so busy we often cant help those weekend warriors looking for prompt appointments. ... Thats all about to change! From July 15 every Monday we will be offering a limited number of Rapid Physio Consultations (10-15min). These RAPID CONSULTATIONS are reserved for those who have suffered acute injuries over the weekend and are in desperate need of speedy advice to ensure an optimal outcome. RAPID CONSULTATIONS are perfect for these types of questions: What have I done? Do I need some sort of imaging/scan? Should I train this week? Do I use ice or heat? Should I strap it? Do I put weight on it? Will Physio help me? Do I need to see a Doctor? Should I be taking any medication to help? How many weeks might I miss? RAPID CONSULTATIONS are also ideal for: MRI/X-ray/Ultrasound referrals Specialist recommendations Medical Certificate (if your workplace accepts Physio) NOTE: These consultations DO NOT include hands on treatment, only assessment and prompt advice These consultations can only be booked by calling the clinic on the day and will be offered on a first in best dressed basis. Appointments are limited. A $57 fee applies for a Rapid Consultation, excluding any recommended products. Consultations are eligible for Private Health Rebates for those with Physiotherapy extras cover.
