13.01.2022 What have we been up to in the last few weeks COVID19/iso time? Rehearsing weekly using Zoom, we are so proud of the uptake by our members in embracing this technology. We held a virtual AGM and welcomed Dale, Sharon and Tegan to the Management Team, and thanked Janet, Wendy and Julie for their contribution and hard work on the team. We are learning new rounds and managing to sing in harmony thanks to our clever director Jo. We are looking forward to the time we can sing together in the same room, and be back on the risers.

12.01.2022 We were thrilled that Sweet Adelines Australia inducted Lindsey Dyer along with Jennifer Lloyd as the inaugural members of the Hall of Fame at the 2020 Unconvention held on 16th May, in recognition of their contribution in so many ways to Region 34.

12.01.2022 A Cappella West celebrated World Singing Day in the best way possible, singing in the sunshine. This was our first performance since March and included 6 new songs. We love that we get to sing together again, and share our music. #worldsingingday

12.01.2022 We are proud to announce that Sandy Weselman is our Sweet Adeline of the year, pictured here with our TC Jenn Fairclough. Sandy works hard behind the scenes, organising morning tea for workshops and retreats, cleaning up after rehearsals and was our Fundraising Coordinator in 2018. She is a willing volunteer for any job, always with a smile, a worthy recipient of this award.

11.01.2022 A Cappella West had a special rehearsal last night, celebrating Sweet Adelines Australia's 30th Pearl anniversary. It was the also the 12th anniversary of the very first vocal course which was the start of the chorus, we celebrated the life of Lindsey Dyer, wearing her favourite colour purple, presented the inaugural Mama Bear award to Jacquie South and Jo Oosterhoff, ate cake and drank champagne. We were lucky to be joined by Gail Jencik, our wonderful coach.

10.01.2022 A Cappella West members will be at Bunnings O'Connor (corner of South St and Yarrick St) tomorrow, Sunday 23rd February cooking up the best sausage sizzle in Perth. We would love to see you there.

03.01.2022 An excited contingent from A Cappella West were thrilled to audition for the Wildcats this morning. Hoping to get the chance to sing the National Anthem at a home game this season! Possibly even more thrilling was the chance to sing together in person for the first time since lockdown. We stood outside after the audition and sang some old favourites and even tried out a brand new song we have learned in isolation - very happy with how it sounded, first time out of the box! So from all of us at ACW to all of you not able to sing together yet, we promise that you ARE making progress and will come back strong, however long it takes. Just keep swimming everyone

01.01.2022 Thanks to Region 34 for a fantastic August A Cappella yesterday. It was great to have sessions by Peggy Gram and Britt-Helene Bonnedahl. Our amazing director Joanne Oosterhoff did a very informative session on interpreting barbershop songs. We count ourselves very lucky to have such a knowledgeable director who is always willing to educate not just us, but the region as well.
