The rate will again fall to $1,000 per fortnight and $650 for people working less than 20 hours a week, from 4 January 2021, where eligibility will be tested for the June to December quarters to qualify. 09.01.2022 Changes have been made, Australia wide, to the JobKeeper scheme following Victoria’s Stage 4 restrictions. Previously businesses hoping to receive JobKeeper from 28 September 2020 to 3 January 2021 would have had to show a decline in turnover for both the June and September 2020 quarters. Businesses now only have to show a 30% fall in turnover for the September quarter, compared to the same period last year. Businesses will still have to prove their eligibility again in Jan...uary, however it will be based on the December quarter only, rather than the two previous quarters also. Staff who were employed as at 1 July 2020 will now be eligible. The payment is currently $1,500 a fortnight (for full-time employees) but will reduce to $1,200 for the period October to December 2020. It will then reduce again to $1,000 until March 2021. There are further reductions for employees who work less than 20 hours per week (see prior post). Need more information or assistance around JobKeeper eligibility and reporting?
