25.01.2022 It has been a tough day. The weather has been quite hot and just uncomfortable here, and I’ve had a few setbacks on some orders we’ve been working on. I spent a lot of today just working on a custom order, hence my absence from social media. I honestly wasn’t feeling up to updating much in general, especially knowing that tomorrow is going to be pretty big. But now that I’ve had a decent meal and taken some time to rest my eyes from work, I’m feeling a bit better ... I unfortunately don’t have an octo update to show, or anything else for that matter, so I’m showing our finished earrings These little ghosties will be available with regular earring hooks or as leverbacks tomorrow at the One Tree Hill Country Market. We were put into lockdown, but some new information arose, and restrictions are easing slightly. Unfortunately, there are changes to restrictions every hour and the ease of restrictions isn’t very comforting when cases are still rising. Currently, only essential services and urgent travel is permitted. ... To avoid non-essential travel, we will NOT be posting or delivering incoming orders between now and the 25th of November We CAN still process and accept orders, within this time. When the 25th of November arrives, we will reassess the situation and see if it is suitable for us to return to posting and delivering orders safely. 08.01.2022 Today, I made a bit of a resin oopsie. However, it turned out looking pretty awesome. Making oopsies and trialling ideas was the whole point of this test, so I couldn’t be happier it happened! I learned that the colours I use work differently with this epoxy resin to UV. I still have to test it out a bit more, but I accidentally got a pretty cool gradient with this copper octo! ... 05.01.2022 Happy National Coming Out Day Today is absolutely no reason to force yourself to come out, especially if it’s unsafe for you to do so, you don’t feel ready, or you simply don’t want to I came out as asexual in January, 2017, and as aromantic a short time after that. I didn’t really announce anything, it just came up through casual conversation. ... However in 2018, coming out was significantly more challenging. Working out I was nonbinary was far more stressful to me. I wasn’t sure how to explain how I felt, or even feel comfortable in my own skin. Realising an entire lifetime of feeling out of place was dysphoria all along was a bit of a rollercoaster for me. It took months of research on trans identities and internally debating with myself before I finally had the courage to come out on the 12th of December, which involved a lot of crying on my behalf. It took months for me to gain the courage to embrace my true pronouns, and even longer to make the necessary changes to make ME happy. My life isn’t perfect (yet) but I’m happier than I’ve ever been. And I think I’m doing past miserable, confused, broken 2018 me justice today. 02.01.2022 Hey everyone! We’re currently having a bit of an Instagram glitch where I can’t add products to my posts or stories. Our store is still fully functional on the products I have tagged, so it’s just a bit of a goof on my side of things. Fortunately, I can go back to edit posts and tag products then (and I will let you know when I do) ... For any creators who have had Instagram issues before (and I have, with email issues), you will know that Instagram is absolutely one of the worst places for reporting issues. There’s no phone number, and one email address where the person on the other end just infuriatingly tells you to read through their FAQs over and over. So I’ll be waiting it out a bit, and seeing how it changes with the next update. Thanks in advance for all your patience if this is happening to any other businesses on Facebook/Instagram or you know of any solutions, I’d be super appreciative of the insight!
