19.01.2022 On Thursday Ill be heading north again, the recent heated disasters over the summer had enormous consequences on many cultural & tourism events as well as a devastating loss on many small businesses in the Cariboo Region. With the escalating hunger of news feeds for content and the medias insatiable appetite for a story it can be tricky to know how to communicate with your target market. Whether they be general members of the public, tourists, festival tickets buyers, fund...ing bodies, media, artists, or local officials. Disaster can strike at any time but having a strong communication plan (including some do & dont) can avoid punters with broken hearts, closure of events and lawsuits from angry ticket buyers. 11.01.2022 Australia and Canada share so many beautiful differences but sadly the dark truth of both these countries stolen generations, culture and communities are so similar. The more Im educated on both our countries horrible histories the more Im inspired to make a positive difference in reconciliation, acceptance and change. Im so thankful for Tiny Lights Festival & ArtsWells Festival as we work together on promoting social change through the music and art.
09.01.2022 Most days I wake up inspired by music, art, family, social change, community and personal growth. Some other days not so much. But on those other slightly darker days Im pretty stoked I have so many kick-arse peeps in my life. In particular Hannah, whos bedroom opens on to mine. Mom Approved Tattoos is a maker, a doer, a witch, an artists, a magician, a musician, the list goes on and on AND ON! You are one wonderfully wise women Hannah, and you teach me so many things just by being you!

The last 12 months have brought enormous career growth from working with Tiny Lights Festival ArtsWells Festivall Bloom Nightclub and Kootenay Coop Radio, CJLY that Im so thankful for. My mates here are warm, generous, inspirational & hilarious humans. And lastly, none of this would never have been possible without support from everyone back home, I miss you more than youll ever know! Come to the Kootenays soon so we can play in the lake and dance in the sun!

01.01.2022 Over the recent weeks the Cariboo region (in which Wells is situated) has witnessed extreme devastation from forest fires, with over 37,000 people being evacuated from their homes in the area. As people return to their communities and try to create some normality the realization that this areas main revenue of tourism is going to have monumental financial affects on many families & business. Ive been up in Wells for nearly a week & as we count down to the festival Im so ins...pired how these communities have banded together to look after their neighbours and how incredible important music and art is small towns. ArtsWells Festivals purpose is to engage the wider community whilst promoting reconciliation, multiculturalism and social change through music, art, literature, film and theatre. But its more than that, its the lively hood to so many. 14th Annual ArtsWells Festival Of All Things Art is August 4 -7. 01.01.2022 Whoever coined "money cant buy happiness" clearly had never wanted to be a permanent resident in Canada, or never knew a teacup pig existed OR had never ever heard of The Knife. Ill never see my favouite act perform live but I could slightly-maybe-kinda die happy (or atleast okay) with this harp in my life. A.K.A Someone buy me the harp!!!
