24.01.2022 VBA is the main programming language of Excel, NotePad, Paint and many other Office programs, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) allows users to accomplish a great deal more than any keyboard combination, formula or dialog box ever could. In business careers that are spreadsheet-prone, VBA is key to saving time and efficiency. VBA can help automate routine tasks (format large amounts of data that would otherwise lag with formulas) as well as create custom demands or function...s that are unique relative to a project (macros). As any senior accountant or business manager would remark, you haven’t really unlocked Excel’s true computing power if you don’t use or read VBA. To help students discover Excel’s magic, AccSoc’s trusted representatives will be running an introductory UNSW AccSoc Presents: VBA Workshop TOMORROW at 6PM. Register now and excel-erate your skills: https://forms.gle/Kgt8yHapNWqZJUtz7

02.01.2022 The UNSW Accounting Society is using our platform to speak out on an important issue that goes far beyond each of us as individuals, and us collectively as a society. The unjust death of George Floyd in the US has reignited anger over police killings of black lives, not only in America, but also here in our own country. Since 1991, 432 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander lives have been taken in police custody in Australia, and not one person has been convicted. While these... acts have sparked anger and outrage, it is important that we turn this into action and do our part in raising awareness of this systemic issue. Tonight, our society is using our platform to stand up and speak up for Black Lives, for those who cannot be heard and for those who cannot speak up themselves. Here is how you can support the Black Lives Matter movement.
